Greetings everyone!

I specially welcome you to my blog today, this is @owulama a Nigerian. I hope you all are doing well and are enjoying your happy lives. I am doing well too.

According to your understanding, what is conflict and what is its outcome?

Conflict can be referred to as the state of misunderstanding, disagreement, opposition etc between two or more individuals or entity, and it is usually caused as a result of power struggles, competition, breakdown in communication and misinterpretation etc.

Conflict has different types which includes;
Interpersonal; this is a conflict that is between personal relationship.

Intrapersonal; conflict within oneself.

International conflict; conflict between two or more countries.

Social conflict; this type of conflict is usually between two or more society who are having misunderstanding or disagreement.

Conflict has a lot of negative effects, some of these negative effects are:

It usually results to emotional trauma.
It destroys relationships
Reduction of productivity etc.

Can we end the conflict completely or not? Please explain a little.

It is usually very difficult to end conflict completely, but then it doesn't mean that conflicts cannot end completely.conflicts are inevitable but then it can be managed.

How conflict can end completely;

  1. Effective communication engaging in a heart to heart talk and practicing active listening can enhance complete conflict resolution.

  2. Finding solutions: looking for fair solutions to what resulted to the conflict can help greatly in ending the conflict completely.

  3. Willingness: Both parties can mutually be willing to end the conflict.

This and many more ways is how to end conflict completely...

What can be done to prevent conflict between a team or two individuals?

Below are things that can be done to prevent conflict between team or two individuals;

Team

  1. Ensure transparency among the team members.
  2. Teamwork should be encouraged.
  3. There should be clear definition of roles and responsibilities of each member of the team.
  4. The team members should be train on conflict resolution and effective communication.
  5. The goals and expectations should be plainly established.

individuals

  1. Stress and emotions should be properly managed.
  2. Practice effective communication and active listening.
  3. Individual differences should be respected.
  4. Assumptions and expectations should be clarified amicably.
  5. Practice constructive conflict resolution.

Both in entities, families, society and the world at large, conflict is inevitable but it can be managed. So therefore,, let's ensure proper management of conflict, in order to have a more peaceful and harmonized environment to stay.
