Today I will be taking part in an interesting contest organised her in the hindwhale community by @deepak94 with the theme One Nation One Vote
Though in Nigeria 🇳🇬 we had our election last year and the process of election which is being brought forth is as a result of democracy which is government by the people
Through democracy the citizens are given the democratic rights to choose who their leaders would be Through the process of voting 🗳

Here in Nigeria 🇳🇬 we are currently operating a democratic system of government which was a system introduced to us by our colonial masters eversince we got our independence in 1960
And as a result of this thr citizens are given the right to exercise their franchise by choosing who their leader would be Through the process of voting
And the voting system we operate in Nigeria is a open balloting system in a direct election process where the citizens cast their votes directly to the candidates of their choice and wait for the votes to be counted

Now in my country how election is being held isn't so different from the rest of the democratic nation around the world
So when it's time for election or should I say election season first candidates will have to host election campaigns so as to gain the love of the citizens
And after the campaign when it's time for the general election the citizens are required to come out and cast out their votes to the candidates of their choice
And after the election immediately the returning officer will have to count the numbers of the total votes cast to all candidates and at the end announce the winner who is the candidate with the highest number of votes.
Democracy which gives room for voting is the best system of government because it allows popular participation and equality before the law
