Yes there is a correlation between a child's behavior and Parenting. Parenting plays a unique role in the life of every child. Some of the roles includes.
- Upbringing
Parents takes care and cater for their children until they become of age.
- Role model
The parents are a child's first role model, children learn things by observing their parents behavior, literally everything they do is what they learnt from their parents, and this is why it isn't advisable to behave inappropriately in a child's presence.
- Discipline
Parents disciplines and caution their children when necessary and this helps children to develop self regulations skills.
- Emotional support
Parents always stands and support their children even in their lowest moments.
- Norms and values
Parents also pass on their values and norms to their children, which helps to shape them into who they are and also helps them to behave appropriately in the society.

The environment plays a significant role in the life of a child, the kind of things a child was exposed plays a role too.
- Genetic makeup
The genetic makeup of a child such as his temperament also plays a role.
- Peer groups
Friends always have a huge impact on a child and a child moving with bad friends will exhibit negative social behavior vice versa.
- Education
Teachers, educators and school also plays a unique role in the way a child behaves.
- Social media
The World is currently a global village where literally everything is on the Internet and children watches this things and it has an influence on them.

Yes, even though it's hard, it is possible to change a child's behavior after they are grown. With the right counseling, therapy, communication and prayers, a child will definitely change his behavior. Even though it will take time.
