How does parenting affect child behaviour? Is there any correlation between them?

Yes there is a correlation between a child's behavior and Parenting. Parenting plays a unique role in the life of every child. Some of the roles includes.

  • Upbringing

Parents takes care and cater for their children until they become of age.

  • Role model

The parents are a child's first role model, children learn things by observing their parents behavior, literally everything they do is what they learnt from their parents, and this is why it isn't advisable to behave inappropriately in a child's presence.

  • Discipline

Parents disciplines and caution their children when necessary and this helps children to develop self regulations skills.

  • Emotional support

Parents always stands and support their children even in their lowest moments.

  • Norms and values

Parents also pass on their values and norms to their children, which helps to shape them into who they are and also helps them to behave appropriately in the society.

Is parenting alone responsible for child behavior or are there any other factors too? What are they? Explain.
