"Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W5 - What were some of your childhood dreams, and how did they come true?"

"Assalamu Alaikum" How are you all? Hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah, I am also well by the infinite mercy of Allah through your prayers. Welcome to Week 5 of Steemit Season 6. I think a contest like this is appropriate for this week, because we all have childhood memories or thoughts about how to grow up. I think there is no man who does not from childhood strive to reach a better position. So I really like the content of the competition and that is the main reason for my participation in this competition today.

I was born in Wasikpur village in Noakhali district of Bangladesh. Our Noakhali district is largely advanced due to expatriates abroad. No house can be found where one or two are in exile. We are a big family of four brothers and four sisters. From that point of view it was very difficult for my father to bear the expenses considering everything of such a big family. Because my father is a small businessman. To say the least, there was a shop in the market and our whole family was running on the profit of that shop.

Father was running such a big family by fighting with poverty since childhood. Come to think of it, I have never had such a big dream since childhood. The rest of the family in the house was like uncles or cousins. Being foreigners, most of the girls were married off to foreign boys at a very young age. We were used to seeing them. That's why I assumed from my childhood that maybe my parents would see such a foreign boy and marry me off.

But because my father passed matric in 1967, father had a very good reputation in our area. That's why father tried to continue our education no matter how hard it was. We all studied. But I had a thought in my mind that like others, maybe we will be married to some foreign boy. I had a hope that I would get married in a good family. I will go there and organize my family well. You can say that it was a dream to become a good housewife. Although nowadays girls also have big dreams of becoming doctors and engineers, but in our time we could not think of such thoughts, because we were born as girls when we were 14 to 15 years old, we had to go to the next room. It was a man-made rule of that time. Although now it hurts to remember things.

But yes, growing up in the village, I have many memories in my life from that childhood. While writing this post today, many memories came to mind. The childhood life was such a free life, that's why I say free because everything was spent in sports those days. Now sometimes I want to go back to those childhood days. Although that is not possible at all because we all know that once time is gone it cannot be returned.

Yes today I am a good housewife. But my husband does not live abroad. But yes, even though I didn't get such a comfortable, luxurious or well-rounded husband, I feel blessed to have a good enough husband. My husband runs a small business and my two daughters and one son are doing well with them by the grace of Allah. You all pray for me and pray for my family.

These were my childhood dreams that I presented to you. Considering the environmental conditions, my dreams were like this, I know you might even laugh at reading this. But I shared with you what was in my life. Thank you very much for spending your valuable time to read my post.
