Last month I visited the village house with my parents. In this post, I’m sharing the story of my travel back to my village home.
The village feels like a magical place, bringing to mind images of lush green plants, winding dirt roads, and a refreshingly natural atmosphere.
Growing up in the city, I occasionally visited the village with my parents, and those visits were filled with joyful memories and the warm hospitality of relatives. But after such long gaps between visits, I’ve missed out on staying closely connected with many of them. Now, whenever I visit, I feel an emotional distance from my village and the people there. This is something I felt deeply during my last visit.
Our city is known as the "city of railways" because from here, you can travel by train to almost any part of the country. Every time we visit our village, we go by train, and this time, I took a night train. Village house tours are always great moments.
Visiting our village home always brings a sense of comfort, reconnecting me with familiar faces I see only every few years. Remembering my relatives gives some relief to the mind. Then it seems that I am going back to my nest which I left for many days and took refuge somewhere far away.
If I feel a bit boring during the travel moments, I look out of the train window and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The beauty of our country truly unfolds from a train window. One of the beautiful things about train journeys is that you can explore countless unnamed beautiful places.
One of the attractions of our train journey is the Jamuna multi-purpose bridge. Train passengers are eager to see this bridge actually over the river Jamuna. At the end of the night when the sun rose, the train was crossing the Jamuna Bridge. I was overwhelmed by the epic view of the Jamuna Bridge at the beginning of the day. It was almost 10 am to reach the village house.
Although the village is not as modern as the city, peace and silence can be found here in the serene environment. I first visited the village where my cousin lives. The village had a mesmerizing green landscape. Finally I visited my maternal uncle's village. which was a riverside village. While visiting this village I enjoyed the eye catching natural beauty of the river bank.
All in all, my personal reflections on my last visit to the village have somewhat enhanced my understanding of my village and it's people. And as a result, I realized the importance of our own places in our lives and our relatives. This trip was enjoyable and educational for me.
I am inviting @pea07, @helengutier2 & @anailuj1992 to take part in this contest.

It is actually very relaxing to enjoy the nature outside through the window of the train. If it is an unfamiliar place, then it is much better. Bro your train travel story was very nice.
