Hello everyone, good morning from these parts. Hope everyone of y'all is having quite a blissful day.
Today I'll be writing a little about the city I currently live in, the beautiful city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, in the south south region of Nigeria.
The ibibio language is the traditional language of the people of Uyo. Uyo officially became the capital of Akwa Ibom state on the 23rd of September, 1987 after Akwa Ibom state was created from what was formerly called Cross River state.
According to the Nigerian 2021 census, the current metro area population of Uyo is roughly 1,200,000, an increase by 5.63% from 2020's.
Today, I'll be sharing a few photos from some of my most favorite and frequent locations in the city of Uyo.
This first photo is a photo of one of the major roads in my city, Nwaniba road. This particular road has always been, like one of the most daily travelled roads of mine in my city, because it connects me to the residents of some of my best friends I have in school, and it also connects me to family, my cousins. Everytime time I get on this particular road it always brings nothing but beautiful memories. Most times, I end up catching myself grinning lightly with a warm smile.
This second photo is actually a photo of yet another most frequently travelled road of mine in my city, Ikot Ekpene road. This one connects me to my church and some few game arcades that are close by. I forgot to mention, I'm a huge gamer, lol.
This last photo was captured within my school premises. It's a photo of me, in a natural environment filled with lots of greenery. Spoiler alert, I'm also a huge fan of nature ☺️
All photos were captured on my mobile phone, an Infinix hot 7 pro model. I'm inviting @jacksonmark1 and @mfonbreezi to join the contest.
Thanks for reading my post. Love each and every single one of y'all 😘💕
