Hello Steemians! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope that you will be doing well by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest which is organized by @azmat545 in the Steem For Pakistan community. The topic of this contest is "Write About Steem Power On Steemit Platform". Let's start.
As we all know that the Steemit is decentralized social media based platform which provides income to its users in the form of steem token, steem power, and TRX. The liquid steems can also be converted into steem power. The Steem power is basically the untradable assets which a Steemit user holds inside his Steemit wallet.
The Steem power represents the influence of a user on the Steemit platform. The Steem power is also measure the overall commitment of a user on Steemit platform. It also consider as the investment of a user and refers to the staking of steem. Overall the Steem power Plays a vital role in the stability and maintainNance of the platform.
There are a lot of benefits of Steem power within the Steemit platform. The Steem power increase the worth upvotes. As the steem power of a user increase the worth of his upvotes also increase which increase the engagement between the Steemit users. The Steem power also measure the overall influence of a user on the Steemit platform. A user with high Steem power have more chances of getting rewards.
The high sp holders can also earn more rewards by creating quality contents, upvoting the posts of other users. The high sp holders also have a chance of getting a great responsibility on the Steemit platform such a selecting as a moderator of any of community, selecting in the team of curators and much more responsibilities. The high sp holders also gets more resources and credits which determine the overall influence of a user such as activities of upvoting, commenting and posting.
The powering up on Steemit is a very simple process. You just have to open your wallet and click on the power up button then select the amount that you want to power up. After this just click on the power up button. You can see that process in the pictures below.

My answer to this question is NO. I'm still not thinking about powering down my Steem power. The reason is that I want to work on Steemit for a long time. Besides this I have also plans of working on Steemit in the upcoming future. I also want to achieve the dolphin and that will achieve after completing of my 5000 Steem power. That is why I'm not going to power down my Steem power.
