Thank you once more @ahsansahrif for another engaging contest. Am glad to be part of this. Before I proceed, I ask @napito, @yosiven and @josertalaverag to participate in this contest.

What are your thoughts on the Steemit Engagement Challenge or Steemit Learning Challenge?

The steemit engagement challenge was a roller coaster of experiences for me. I loved the different topics of discussion that was brought up by the communities for us to write on and that also sparked up a wave of frenzy of engagement with other steemians.

Then steemians grappled with being very active with engaging other steemians through making comments on others posts. I could remember vividly that some users make as high as over 100 commmets just to be selected as a winner.

I was also part of that experience and it wasn’t an easy one. I could take hours staying up just be engage. Most times I wasn’t selected because there were more aggressive ones with more comments. It was frustrating to an extent though but that shouldn’t be the reason for engagement.

Steemit is a social media platform and we should engage with each other for quality relationships not just for rewards. The reward system also made some users to make poor comments just for the number while some simply copy a part of the writers posts and put it back as comment. It was kinda messy but was still part of the whole experience.

The twist from engagement challenge to learning challenge brought a whole new perspective that was more welcoming. The fact that we don’t just write, we learn. I love some of the courses that was home to me and I partook in the learning challenge a lot.

Which SLC/SEC course is your favorite and why? Share your best post and describe why.

I partook in seventeen different course fields across the season 20-22 of the learning challenge and I took part in 62 courses. I made a post in the past about my learning challenge experience so far. I was also selected as one of the best learners in the nomination awards for 2024. It was an honourable moment for me.

I enjoyed the Physical therapy course intervention a lot because it taught practical ways to treat some issues in our body through physiotherapy. I even applied one of the teaching on plantar fasciitis on myself and it worked for me. It’s been a handy remedy for me whenever I experience any discomfort on my plantar fascia.

My best post was my post on knee osteoarthritis. It’s my best because of a truth, I put in over seven hours of sitting down, making researches and carrying out practicals just to put that post together. I was happy when the teacher gave me a good grade and acknowledged the effort I put into it.

That post was voted by steemcurator02 and was also chosen as one of the top four posts and also got a vote from steemcurator 01. I was so happy and encouraged to still do more.

What attracts you most to these challenges?

The passion to learn attracts me to the challenges. Most of the teachings are very strange to me initially but as I put myself into the courses to learn and make researches, I love them by the day and the knowledge I received is commendable.

Also the need for support. With the hope of getting support from the curators or being chosen as a top post is a motivation to engage and learn.

Any point or rule you would like to see in future challenges?

Most of these learning challenges are very tasking to engage in. Imagine sitting for over seven hours to make a post and it’s not rewarded. If there was a system to support the learners more even if it’s not much votes, it would encourage more participation than when the posts pay out nothing at all.

I know a lot of users who didn’t want to participate and said it’s a waste of time because the votes are not guaranteed and it’s still tasking to participate. They complain that the ones they spent money and time to do, they didnt get anything in return.

It took me a lot of perseverance to really continue. Out of the 62 posts I did, 9 was selected as top posts, 26 was voted by 02 and the rest went unsupported. It was my determination that kept me pushing.

Then a system can be put in place to check the teachers grading system and scoring. Some of the teachers were partial and tribalistic in their grading not to mention names but it was very disheartening. While some teachers were fair. We all can do better if we walk in sincerity and integrity.
