Church: My View, Myself Wk26".

I was once a bad boy, i spent most of my time in the street. When my family are busy preparing for church, I'll be busy preparing to join the street football and at the end, fight or tore the ball into pieces. I sat myself down that faithful day and ask "Is this life"?. Well, i thought that's all life could offer, not until I heard the word "church" and how it changes people's life. Oh yes! I'm a changed person now.

I'm joining this contest organised by @saintkelvin17 so as to portray my view about the word "church".

Church is a sanctified space, built for the purpose of worshiping the Almighty God. I once ask someone while at field service this question, he told me that church is a person, that he's a church, I'm also a church that's why he doesn't visit that building all in the name of going to worship God, I was shocked.

If truly we're the church ourselves, why then did Jesus said to those traders at the temple that the building isn't meant for traders, but built for the purpose of worshiping God and praying. To show that Church is a place meant to worship God, Jesus threw out all those selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.

He was angry and furious seeing those people turn the temple/church to something it's not meant for. Since church is a space specifically designated for God, we humans should honour it, and not be a bad exampler, like those traders in the Bible.

I'm one of Jehovah's witnesses. In our organisation, we call it Christian meetings, it's all the same because we're there for the same purpose. I go to church 2 times a week, that's Thursdays and Sundays. During Thursdays, we do have a mid-week meeting which helps us to delve deeper in the scriptures, and also build our personal life and Christians.

Then Sundays are for weekend meetings, where we'll be taught through Watchtower study about the faithful and unfaithful people in the Bible, and how we can imitate the good ones. Amongst all, i really do enjoy weekend meetings because the congregation will have the floor for more comments compared to midweek meetings.

We're living in a dark and scary world full of disaster, obstacles, temptations and sins all through. Going to church is very beneficial because that sacred book called the Bible is like a light which guides us though the dark and scary path of the world.

In my introduction post, I highlighted the kind of lifestyle i taught it was best for me, but going to church really helped me a lot. That was a dubious lifestyle that won't take me to anywhere, so church can change evil into good.

Another benefit of going to church is that, the word of God preached in that building gives us hope. Let's look at it this way, people are suffering, dieing, starving, begging, sick, outcries and all sorts of natural disaster and crises. There's no other thing that keeps us going than the word of God preached in the church. In His word, He's promised us a fruitful paradise on earth, a world where no one residence will say I'm sick, starving, death etc.

We'll be spiritually strong and firm if we visit the church often. Most people don't believe what God promises for us, going to church will help them believe that, how? This is it, we've learnt a lot from the church and we truly believe what the Bible says, with this, it's possible for us to convince them though the Bible that truly, God promises will surely become a reality.

No other steemian but my second mother @goodybest. We're sharing the same belief so I'll be grateful if she'll honour my invitation to join me in our weekend meeting someday. I'll get to learn a lot about her, and also get to know her family properly. Ma'am, will you like to come with me to our meeting someday?
