Do you think we need to have a role model in our lives? If yes, then explain your answer.

In today's world, one must have someone who inspire and motivates to make his or her journey a success.
And it's really necessary, not only a role model but a mentor someone you can talk to or ask questions to give you right answers and tell you what to do, someone to put you on the right way and in other words a " Role model"

Who is your role model? And tell us the qualities of him/her which inspire you.

Me and my mum

For me, my Role model is my mum!
Yeah, I love her so much and she means the world to me. I admire how she goes on doing great things at home, single-handedly manage the house while we're not around or were lazy around .
Yeah.. I have three siblings and plus an amazing Dad who's always traveling to work, so we're left with mum, most times we tend to fight and quarrel a lot but she's my role model .
Her qualities that amazes me most are;

She corrects us with love, being a mum of a teenagers who grow up so fast and start acting like they know everything in the world can be annoying and most irresponsible mums can just throw you out of the house, but mum never does that, instead she advice us to kick against bad manners and be good girls.

Another one is that she's a great story teller.
While that just happens if she's in good mood and less busy, she can tell you about her love life, hee first love, her lessons and memories, both sad ones and the hilarious ones. she can decide to lecture you on ways to get attractive and so on.

Mum is my teacher and gist partner and also my freedom fighter! Although I tend to get close to Dad, but my mum always got my back.

As a career woman with a family which needs her full attention and physical support, she marvels me with the way she still maintain peace with her self without feeling stressed out or resigning.

Of course there are times she decides to take care of her self, not bothering us if we've wake up on time to go school or washed the dishes in the sink or clear the house talk more of cooking, and everyone will be like, "mum are you alright? and she'll be of course I am.
And there are times she'll fall sick and all the kids will run around the house to make sure mum's okay, but in all aspects someone who always has your best interest in mind, leaves you to make some choice and learn by yourself and advice you on what to do next, teaches you love and compassion and correct without judging. What more model do I need?

The last time I fellowed my role model's Teaching;

So one-day I decided to make my favorite food, which is otou mboro. It's a local dish popular in Akwa Ibom state, so I actually made it in a small quantity mum was like the stuff are much and won't contain this small pot, why not use a large pot? I told her I won't, but never the less I use a bigger pot and to my surprise when the food was heated it was much and wouldn't had truly contain the previous one, I was so happy she was around the kitchen to tell me on time and with myself because I fellow her instructions and it didn't lead to disaster.

. In what ways the teachings of your role model impacting your personal and professional life?

Like in my personal life, she taught me not to Jude people base on how some other people present them to us, but we should get to know them and know who they truly are.
Also I learn to mind my business, mum will always tell me don't try making everyone like you because even with that, people will still find excuses to hate you.
She taught me to go ahead and do what makes me happy and make sure it's the right thing, without minding if it's goes down well with how others, because people will still talk.
her teachings are always practical, because I see them in her daily life.

Professional, like the hairstyling I learnt from mum. she's a great teacher,
She will say don't mixed emotions with business, because you may end up building a charity organization instead of a good solid business building.
aldo she's a graduate of business management, with ideas in all round marketing strategies, and I an under graduate of history and international studies,
She amazes me a lot and tries to carry everyone along

Finally;
A role model can also be someone who's not related to you by blood or relation but the goal is, having someone who you are free-minded with, whom you can share your thoughts without being chicky or afraid is what most young people need so we do not end up making mistakes which could have been avoided if we had someone who talked to us.

I understand most children do not have a relationship with their parents and it's really sad not connected with your children and completely being a novice about your child's likes and dislikes.
So most of us find solace outside and build trust there, times we open up to bad people, and sometimes with the ones with good intentions, we must always be guided!

Thanks, you all for finding time to read my work as I'll also love to read your thoughts as you share yours on this incredible topic by @abdullahw2.
