What is Kiwano
Kiwano is also known as African horned cucumber or horned melon. This is a fruit whose content is greenish and has seeds inside. The back is a combination of yellow and red colour. Kiwano is taken by cutting it into two and then using a spoon to fetch it. The seeds are also taken alongside the fruit or separately.
Benefit of Kiwano
The following are the benefits of Kiwano:
- It aids digestion.
- It helps in maintaining heart and brain health.
- It improves vision
- It guards against diabetes by lowering blood sugar levels.
- It boosts the immune system
I have never seen or taken Kiwano and it is not found in my area either. So, I don't know how much it cost. I know a little about it because I carried a research on it.
NOW MY DRAWING
Materials used for drawing
- A4 paper
- Pencil

- Sharpener
Step 1
I began by drawing the outline of the Kiwano using a pencil
Step 2
In this step, I drew the horns all around the kiwano.
Step 3
I drew the sliced half of the kiwano using my pencil. I also ensure that the horns are drawn.
Step 4
I coloured the Kiwano yellow
Step 5
Here I apply red colour to the Kiwano as I shade. I ensure that the horns are coloured well. I shade the tip of each horn with a pencil.
Step 6
I drew the seeds inside the fruit using a pencil and I coloured the inside of the fruit with a green colour.
Step 7
I coloured the sliced half of the kiwano using red and yellow colours.
Step 8
At this stage, I also drew the seeds in the sliced Kiwano and coloured the inside with a green colour.
My selfie
