Hello my steemian friends, you are welcome to my blog. Today I am going to share my story about a particular market close to my school.

This is choba market, it happens to be the closest market around my school University of Port Harcourt Rivers State. It is a very big market that everyone including the students get their food stuffs from, other people from nearby villages also comes there to sell their goods, things like different kinds of fish, crayfish, prawn and other seafoods.

Normally, I usually buy things from Aba where I base any time am going back to school but after paying transport money for the load from that Aba to Port Harcourt, you will notice that is better to just buy the stuffs in Port Harcourt and save my strength of carrying load up and down since am not traveling with private car. From the time i noticed that, I started buying things around my Lodge an most of the sellers around there sells pretty well with a normal price.

On this faithful day, I decided to go check this market out and buy some food stuffs there too. Within me, I was expecting the prices to be lesser since is a very big market at least, it is bigger than the street market I've been buying things from. To my greatest surprise, the prices there was not friendly, they doubled the prices of everything inside that market that even the street vendors sells cheaper than them and I was like, is it that where other people from other market buy their stuffs is different from where this choba market women get their own or they just automatically hike the prices and the funny thing is that all of them says the same thing, none of them will say something different from what the neighborhood said.

At that point, nobody told me to turn back and move to the street market I've always known. That day was my first and my last day of entering that market.

I invite @chilaw, @bessie2023 and @wringo to participate in this Contest.
