I also believed that if I could see them in comics, I would surely find them somewhere in my city. So I used to wander around my city and nearby villages and wonder if such palaces could be found.
I have been a big optimist right from a young age, so I never stopped looking for them even in my teens, and I believed that there is a world above the clouds, even if no one else has seen it, but I will see it.
I saw such a fort in Jaipur at the age of 16, but it was not what I had imagined. It was very ordinary for me. I saw another fort in Udaipur, but even that was not up to my expectations.
My imagination was beyond these castles, so I was looking for a strange and magical palace. I was not satisfied with the forts I had seen in Rajasthan and other Indian states, but as I grew up, I started believing that someday I would see a huge palace that was always in my dreams.
I have seen many palaces in the world, but none of them were like the palace of my dreams, finally, I saw the palace of my dreams and also took a photo of it. Would you believe that this palace is real but not the original?
Image I clicked in Cockington Green Gardens, Canberra
However, the problem was that this time I did not see this place in my dream. I actually saw a palace. I saw this palace and also took its photo, but I never actually went to the place where this palace was located.
Are you surprised? But this is the truth, which is not surprising because I saw this castle at Cockington Green, located in Canberra’s Gold Creek Village.
I must open the secret now. This park features houses and monuments from more than 30 different countries, from Scotland’s Braemer Castle to Peru’s Machu Picchu. I have forgotten the name of the city, but if I remember right it was one of these two places, which I have mentioned above.
I was captivated by this wonderful park when I saw everything real but in a ratio of 1:10 or even bigger or smaller. I saw real canals, rivers, bridges, and trains. I saw ships sailing in rivers. I saw real polo and football grounds. I even saw the Red Fort of India and took a photo in front of that.
I was in a world of tiny people and small structures. There was so much to see that I stayed there for six hours watching different castles and grounds, but I felt as if I had just arrived in that park.
Your dreamer spirit is so alive that even as an adult you continued to chase this vision in the castles and fortresses of the real world. ✨ Even if none of the palaces visited reached the ideal you had in your mind, your visit to Cockington Green Gardens seems to have finally satisfied that desire for magic and wonder, even if in miniature.
Every corner of that park, with its small reproductions of monuments and scenarios from all over the world, catapulted you into a parallel universe. 🌍 It's incredible how you managed to find that childhood dream in a miniature world, a place where the real mixes with the fantastic. Who knows, maybe the palace of your dreams really exists, hidden somewhere... or maybe it was right there, in Canberra, that your dream finally took shape.
