Assalam-o-Alaikum!

Hello friends! I'm @drcypto1 from #pakistan and I warmly welcome all of you to my post. I hope that you all will be fine and will be enjoying your lives. Today I'm going to participate in the Steemit Learning challenge organized by @solaymann and @mahadisalim Steem For Pakistan The topic is "Introduction to Basic Electrical Circuits & Cable Joint". Let's start the topic;

What is called an electrical circuit? Mention the importance of circuits in electrical engineering.

An electrical circuit is a complete pathway through which the electric current flow, this path typically consists of a power source (battery or generator), conductive wires and it's components (like resistors, capacitors, switches and inductors) that control and modify the flow of electric current.

Importance of electrical circuits in electrical engineering:

1. Power destribution: Electrical circuits are the building blocks of power systems, through these systems electricity is destributed from power plants to homes and industries.

2. Signal processing: Electrical circuits process the signal, both analog and digital and thus play a role in controlling, computing and communicating though devices like computers, radios and smartphones.

3. Control systems: The electrical circuits are mainly used in control systems and processors to regulate the machinery either in industries or in homes.

4. Energy conversion: Electrical circuits also transform energy from one form to another. For example they convert electrical energy into mechanical energy (electrical energy in bulbs converted to mechanical energy in the form of light).

5. Innovation and development: With the advancement of electrical circuits new technologies, devices and microelectronics are invented. This electrical circuits are the source of innovation in many fields.

In summary electrical circuits are the fundamental source of destribution of electricity and are central to design and operate both modern electrical and electronic systems.

Basic components of an electrical circuit:

B) :- Mention at least two differences between series circuit and parallel circuit.
Series circuitParallel circuit
1. The elements are connected to each other one after another (in a series manner) that's why there's only one path for current flow in series circuitElements are connected in a parallel way and they're different path for current flow in parallel circuit.
2. The total voltage is devided with each element in a circuit with different voltage drop across each componentIn parallel circuit each element is connected to the source directly hence all elements have same voltage.
Note the above two circuits and mention their names, and calculate the total resistance of the two circuit. Assume any value of R1 and R2 but not the value specified in the course.

This is the practical work which I have asked by teacher. I'm doing this on page and using two values of resistance named as R1=10 ohm and R2=25 ohm. By using values of R1 and R2 I have to check the resistance of circuit. Let's start

1. Series circuit:

Below I have figured out the total resistance for series circuit.

IMG_20241110_010821_713.jpg

total resistance is 35 ohm

2. Parallel circuit:

Total resistance for parallel circuit is given below.

IMG_20241110_011601_32.jpg

total resistance is 7.14 ohm

Take two pieces of wire and connect them properly. Be sure to mention consistent images and clear descriptions.

Step 1:
The required material for making this connection are two pieces of wire, knife and plier. Now I'm in my apartment and here I don't have plier. So I have to start this work with knife.

IMG-20241109-WA0092.jpg

Step 2:
Now I have to cut the insulation of wire by using knife. The cutting of insulation is done by keeping knife on 30 to 60 degree which I have learnt from course.

IMG-20241109-WA0067.jpgIMG-20241109-WA0087.jpg

Step 3:
After cutting now I have disconnected the insulation of wire easily. For this often the plier is used but now I do not have this tool that's why I have done this by knife for disconnecting the insulation.

IMG-20241109-WA0094.jpg

Step 4:
In this step now I have to clean the insulation of wire by 1 to 2 inches as guided by teacher.

IMG-20241109-WA0081.jpg

Step 5:
Now I have bended the both sides wire on 90 degree for binding it properly. In this way both become opposite and copper conductor stretched easily.

IMG-20241109-WA0083.jpgIMG-20241109-WA0079.jpg

Step 6:
In the final step by following the guidance of teacher I have twisted the extended part of copper conductor in opposite direction and clamped it properly.

IMG-20241109-WA0077.jpgIMG-20241109-WA0073.jpg

So I have completed the connection, this seems very easy but they're some points which I have to be followed while making connection of conductors. I have learnt these points and will apply them while making connection of wires.

After completing this lesson write what you learn in your own words.

Friends professionally I'm an electrician and I'm doing this work from last 4 years. During my professional life I have made many circuits. But in today class I have learnt practically that how to make a series circuit in proper way. I didn't do any diploma or degree about electrical engineering. I have learnt this skill from one of my senior. He simply taught me and enabled me to be called as an electrician.

But in this course, after doing this practical I have learnt many new useful things about making series circuit. Now I'm beware of proper skinning and scrapping of wire while making circuit. After doing practical now I'm able to find the total resident of both parallel and series circuit. In conclusion this course is very useful for me and helps me in knowing new things about basic electricity.

So friends this is all about my today post. At the end I'm inviting @walicted, @drhira, @josepha and @abdullahw2 to participate in this learning course.

Thanks.
