It is a pleasure to engage in this context organised in the steem for the Pakistan community by @abdullahw2, which tilted "change one law of your country." I'm inviting @erica005 @suboohi @fortwis09 and @dove11 to participate in these amazing contexts.

✳️What do you know about the laws? Tell us briefly.

Law means justice and order, its rules and acts that the government forms to regulate human behaviour in society in order to maintain peace.
The government also placed the laws in different ways, such as criminal law, civil law, administrative law, and constitutional law, etc. So, each of these laws stands for justice. The government creates these laws to serve as a penalty to any crimes committed by anybody, including the government itself.

✳️If you could change one law in your country, what would it be?

I could only change the electoral law in my country, Nigeria, because that's one of the laws that's not functioning the way it's supposed to be. There are other laws to change if i have the power to do so, but this one in particular is also one of the major laws that need to be reformed.

✳️Why do you think this law needs to be changed?

The law is not working in our country, Nigeria, because the way the law should be, it's not what the government is following. Rather, they do things out of their power. The law states that every human being starting with the age of 18 years is entitled to vote, but in the northern part of Nigeria, people below 18 years are participating in elections. This has often happened that the government is not ready to speak against it, but the other parts of the country are following the law, so since everyone is not abiding by the law, we have to change it.

But the problem is that the politicians are the ones forcing the under age to get voter's card and participate to vote in their favour and this under age children they don't know anything about politics. The change of this law can help to reconstruct the system of election in our country because the INEC (independent national electoral commission) bodies are a total failure to the country. If this law could be possible to change, my country is going to be better because the problem we are facing is bad leadership, i don't know the reason why our electoral system is different from the USA. We need to transform our electoral system to be transparent, free, and fair, like the United States without dragging anybody to court.

✳️How will this change affect society and your country?

The change will bring good leadership to the country and reduce the rate of violence and corruption during the electoral process. It'll help the society to get their results after electing their choice, not when the masses will vote their choice and their votes will not count. That's the reason i stand for restructuring the law of the electoral system.
