Assalamualaikum and Ramadan Mubarak to all my friends


@enamul17 vai has announced a nice contest. I am always trying to participate in competitions. But in Ramadan, it is hard for me. Still, I try my best to complete the task. So here I am with my entry.

Before describing my drawing steps I would like to tell you about some important things about orange.

Some important information about Orange

Orange is globally known as a very popular and healthy fruit. There are 1600 subspecies, including sweet orange, grapefruit, lemons, etc. found around the world. Orange originated in Asia presently known as Southeast China. In India and China, the orange is cultivated for nearly 7000 years.
From India and Sri Lanka, the traders of the Persian Empire brought the orange to the Roman Empire around 100 BCE. Actually, it is Romans who spread orange all over the world.

Here at first, I use a pencil to make an outline of the orange.

Make the outline prominent with colored pencil.

Now it's time to put some color on it.

Orange is my favorite fruit. But I prefer sour oranges to sweet one. I try to eat it frequently.
There are many different varieties of oranges in the world. Some are sweet, some are sour. Such as:

• Navel
• Mandarin
• Cara Cara
• Blood oranges
• Valencia
• Seville
• Jaffa

Each type of orange has more than 100% of our recommended daily amount of vitamin C.

Health Benefits of Oranges:

The health benefits of Oranges are described below:

To reduce cholesterol: –
Oranges contain soluble fiber which is called pectin. It removes cholesterol from our body before it is absorbed into the bloodstream. It also reduces bad cholesterol and helps increase good cholesterol. Orange keeps cholesterol under control.
For eyes: –
Orange is a rich source of carotenoids, Vitamin A in them plays an important role in keeping the mucous membrane of the eye healthy. We know vitamin A is also responsible for preventing age-related vascular pathology, which in extreme cases can blind a person. So orange plays an important role in our eye health.
Diabetes: –
Eating oranges is beneficial for people who are suffering from diabetes. The nutrients and antioxidants present in oranges can help control blood sugar levels. It helps in insulin production also. For this reason, diabetes started to come under control.
For weight loss: –
Oranges contain vast amounts of vitamin C and fiber, which helps in reducing fat. It does not allow fat to grow in our bodies. That does not increase body weight.
For skin: –
we all know oranges are rich in antioxidants, which are known for aging signs. Orange helps keep safe skin from free radical damage. It helps in beautifying the skin and also makes the skin glow.
To boost immunity: –
Oranges are rich in vitamin C which is good for the proper functioning of a healthy immune system, such as preventing colds and frequent ear infections. So children and adults should eat oranges daily.
For Arthritis: –
Orange contains Vitamin C which is considered a good antioxidant. It helps reduce inflammation in the joints. In addition to this, phytonutrients help us protect against the oxidation of xanthine and beta-cryptoxanthin. It prevents bone-related disorders. So people suffering from these diseases must eat oranges.
To protect against cancer: –
Oranges contain D-limonene, a type of compound. This compound helps prevent cancers like lung cancer, skin cancer, and even breast cancer. Vitamin C and antioxidants present in oranges are very important for boosting the body's immune system which helps to fight cancer. A survey found that 15% of cancer patients have DNA mutations that can be prevented by vitamin C.
Kidney stones:-
Oranges are beneficial for the kidneys. It contains vitamin C which prevents kidney stones.
Beside these orange has some other benefits:

• Protects our cells from damage
• Helps our body make collagen, a protein that heals wounds and gives us smoother skin
• Makes it easier for the body to absorb iron to fight anemia
• Boosts our Immune system, which fights against germs
etc.

✅Do you buy this fruit from the market or have your own fruit trees? How much is it worth in your area?

I have no orange grove of my own. I buy it from the local market and eat it. But there is an orange orchard a few kilometers away from our house. I went to see it. Orange is almost at the end when I go there. I swooned at the sight of oranges on some of the trees. Oranges were caught in such beautiful bunches on the tree.

In our local market, 1kg orange costs 260tk. 1.59 steem and 36.46 TRX.
