Hello steemians!!! Greetings to you all, I'm delighted to participate on this week contest organised by @suboohi in this amazing community.

My Anguish as an Orphan

Just in the morning, I woke up to the sound of silence. No fathers cracks voice and reassuring smile of a brighter day ahead, Just me and the cold harsh reality of being without a father has engulfed my gentle soul😭, My name is Martha and I'm an orphan. I was barely 5 years old when my father's died through a tragic car accident, on his way coming back to Nasarawa from Imo State here in Nigeria, on May 2003😭 My world shattered into a million pieces, leaving my whole life with a gaping hole that could never be filled for life.

The worst of it all, he doesn't have a picture and now I am 27 years old, I don't know the colour of my father's skin neither did I know he looks 😭.

Growing older the anguish of being an orphan only intensified. I felt like a leaf blown to and for by the wind, without roots or direction despite having a mother, life hasn't been easy for me, my siblings and our mum.

We have to move from one place to another looking for shelter and survival, some of us has to go and stay with our uncles and auntie, because our mum she's just a house wife, not educated and she can't afford our needs, but God has been faithful and he came through for us, there's so much improvement compared to 10 years ago.

Conclusion:

No doubt, the pain of being an orphan still lingers in my soul, and now I've come to realize that I am not alone, There are others like me, searching for hope and healing to their souls. Though my story is marked by sorrow, but then I hold onto the hope that someday, I'll find a way to build a family of my own, and surely experience the love and security that I've always longed for in life.
