I still remain your favorite girl @missyleo, it's a pleasure to be here once again to participate in this food reviews contest organized by @artist1111. Thank you for coming up with this amazing contest for people like me (lover of food)😜.

In my food review today, I will be showing you how I prepared red oil rice using pumpkin leaves to garnished it. It's just a simple step that I took in preparing my rice. The red oil rice has another name we fondly called it, "MTN Rice", funny right😂?

I will start be listing out the ingredients that I used in preparing my rice.

Ingredients

  • Rice

  • pumpkin leaf

  • Fresh pepper

  • Two fresh egg

  • Salt

  • Onions

  • Crayfish

  • Red oil

Preparation

I pour raw rice into the cooking pot, put water into the pot , then I parboiled it for about 10 -15minutes. After I removed it from the fire and pour into the sifter to wash it.

After washing the rice, I poured it back into the pot and placed it on the cooker. Then I began to put all the ingredients into the pot of rice one after the other.

After putting all the ingredients into that pot, I put water to the quantity I wanted for the food, stir it very well before I covered the pot I wasn't two fresh eggs and insert into the rice and allowed it to boil for about 20-25 minutes.

After that 25 minutes the water was drying up slowing, that was when I put the sliced pumpkin leaves that I had already prepared and set aside.

After putting the sliced pumpkin leaves into the pot of rice I added the red oil and used cooking spoon to turned it side by side so that the pumpkin and red oil will settled in well.

I covered the pot and allowed it to simmer for 3-5minutes, when I checked back the water in the rice has dried up completely and I turned off the cooker.

My MTN rice was ready and I dished out the portion I wanted to eat.
