Football is one of my favorite sports. Like every afternoon in a small field in the village, I was playing football that day. Our small team was called 'Victory XI'. We used to play with joy, not just a game, every afternoon was a moment full of friendship and excitement, the game was just an excuse. But that day turned out to be a different experience, which will be deeply embedded in the memory of my life.

Entering the field, the opponent team is our arch-rival 'Unbeaten XI'. The excitement of the day's game was different, as it was an important tournament match. In no time we all started playing in high spirits, cheered on by friends and local spectators in the gallery. A great moment.

We were a bit disappointed in the first half of the game as we missed a number of scoring opportunities. But everyone was ready to fight harder in the second half. I was a striker, the team relied on me to score goals. In the last ten minutes of the game, we still haven't scored a goal. The opponent's defense was extremely strong.

A cross pass was coming my way. I focused on the ball. Only one defender in front, behind him the goal post. Time was a game of seconds. I ran towards the ball, the defender also came forward. I thought to myself, "This is an opportunity!". As soon as he got the ball in front of his boot, the defender came to slide tackle to take the shot. In a moment I felt a sharp pain. Looking down at my feet, I feel severe pain in my right leg. Opening the boot, I saw a toe abnormally bent on the ground.

Breathing in pain, I lay down on the field. The friends gathered around, all looking surprised. My feet were very painful to touch. Then I realized that the finger might be broken. A local doctor was quickly called. He said, “There seems to be a fracture. Get him to the hospital quickly.”

It was sad to see the worried faces of the parents. But everyone was on my side. On the way to the hospital, one of his friends held his hand and said, "Don't be afraid." You will get well soon. We need you in our game!”

After reaching the hospital, after taking an X-ray, I confirmed that the finger was indeed broken. The doctor said, “One month of complete rest. Legs must be plastered." I could not imagine a day without football, and there a month!

The first few days after returning home with a leg in plaster was very bad. But gradually I realized, this experience taught me a lot. Increased attention to studies, as well as new hobbies, such as reading books and trying to write well. Friends used to visit me almost every day and talk to me. Their sincerity helped me to recover even more.

After a month the plaster opened. I learned to walk slowly. It took some time to get back on the field, but the joy of being back was immense. That finger injury taught me that challenges will come in life, but we must have the strength to face them.

Thank God for quick recovery and for beautiful people in your life.
How about the scores to the game? I'll like to know how it went.

Then the score of the game was 1-1. Many opportunities came in front of us but we could not capitalize properly. If I had got this short right, we might have won. But now I am physically healthy.☺️

Thanks for your participation. Best of luck for the contest.

Thank you so much, ma'am 😊
