The laptop I ordered online
I have heard and read a lot about online shopping, some heard bad experiences while others heard good experiences. One thing that is very common with online shopping is this case of ordering something and getting the opposite of what you ordered for, (What you ordered vs. What you get.
Alot of people I know have fall victims of what you ordered vs. What you got, so I have been so scared of trying online shopping because of what I have seen and heard. But finally,, I tried ordering something online last month and the experience was extremely bad.
I saw advert of different laptops online and I decided to order one from them. Their head office is at kaduna, so I made inquiries about the company and I was assured that nothing will happen to my money. I choose my desired laptop and we negotiated about the price and I finally sent the money to their account.
My waybill was supposed to reach Akwanga before 3:00pm but reverse was the case, I kept trying the drivers number and it wasn't connecting, and the driver did not call me till the next morning. My heart was already beating fast and I was so scared already, I thought I have entered one chance. Luckily enough, I got a call from the driver and my laptop was given to me.
On reaching home, I opened the laptop and found out that it wasn't what I ordered for, I was so furious, so I had to call the company's number immediately to lay my complain about my dissatisfaction on the laptop they waybilled to me. They company asked me to waybill the laptop back so they can bring a different laptop for me and I did as they asked me to the next morning. I went to the park and waybilled the laptop including the receipt the following morning.

Two days later, the company called that a different laptop will be waybilled to Akwanga, so the asked me to get ready to collect the waybill from the driver. The driver called me around 2:30pm that he has arrived Akwanga, so I left my house to the park and collected the laptop from him. This time around, I had to pay for the waybill after much drama with the company I was left with no option than to pay for the second waybill.
Guess what? When I got home and opened the laptop, I was so surprised to find out that this company waybilled back the laptop I rejected the first time. At this point, I was so so angry and didn't really know what to tell them, I wanted calling to insult them but I later controlled my anger. I called them though, but I didn't insult them, I politely asked them why they did what they did and the apologized sincerely, claiming that there was a mix up somewhere.
After much talk with the company,, the pleaded with me to waybill the laptop again for the second time, and they promised to bring a better one for me. I patiently waybilled the laptop again back to kaduna, and this time around, I had already lose hope and was really regretting why I ordered a laptop online instead of just going to physical store to purchase my desired laptop.

The company waybilled another laptop the following morning after the night that the one I waybilled got to kaduna. The annoying part of it all is the fact that this company refused paying for the waybill, I was asked to keep 3,500naira for waybill but when the driver got to Akwanga where I will be collecting the waybill, I noticed that it was 5,000naira that was written on the waybill receipt.
So I was left with no option than to pay that 5,000naira before collecting the laptop, I couldn't wait to get home to see the kind of laptop that the company waybilled to me for the third time. Finally,, the decided to waybill what I ordered for! So I charged the laptop and found out that the battery and everything on the laptop was working perfectly.
This experience I had with online shopping is one that I will never pray to have again. I paid for waybills that I didn't budgeted for an that really affected my financial plan for that week. It was a very bad experience 🥺😔🥺
