Assalam O Alaikum !
Hope you all are well.Today I will talk about a very old Sawar Baghi
The royal ride of the past... the horse carriage
Baghi Shahi ride is famous. What used to be used by kings in an era. After that, they continued to walk in the form of Tanga on urban and rural roads, but with the advent of the mechanized age, this beautiful culture of Punjab is slowly disappearing. Baghi is now used as a fashion and hobby only by the bride and groom on the occasion of marriage. The baghi is pulled by more than one horse. The same royal carriage has also been decorated in museums. It is decorated well on weddings. It becomes the focus of people's attention. The royal ride of the past... the horse carriage. The royal ride of the past... the horse carriage.Tange was replaced by rickshaws, motorcycles, cars and chungchi. When the inflation took away the cheap means of travel from people, they are returning to the old rides and in many cities Tange and ike ride are gaining popularity again. The speed wheel jammed the Tango wheel.

The thongs plying on the highways of Digra have now been replaced by mechanized rides and the Tange ride has been lost in the mists of the past. There were tanga stands near the main Mohammadi Chowk and the railway station in Digra from where the tangas used to ply to different towns.were

There were three riders on the front and three on the back seats. Under the front seat, the Kochwan used to sit with his feet hanging on one side, holding a thin stick or sonta in his hand, on the other end of which ropes were tied, it was called "Chanta". Apart from driving the horse, the horseman also used to play the horn. He used to sort the sticks attached to the wheel by which the person coming on the way would be warned by hearing the ticking sound. There was color and oil on the sticks, colorful vines were carved. Every day the mattresses were fixed, the brass instrument was polished with a brush, the glasses of the lamps were polished. Today, the places where the Tanga stands used to be in the city of Degree are gone. After becoming unemployed, Tanga miners looked for other sources of income. Now the new generation is ignorant of royal rides like Tange and Baghi. They only know about this legendary ride in books or poetry.

The sight of a galloping horse galloping on the highways of the city is still preserved in the minds of the old people. Baba Ashiq, a tangabana of the degree, who is still involved in this profession, looking back into the past says that it has become difficult to run a tanga today. He earns 500 rupees a day. It just happens. And from the rest, the stove of the house burns with difficulty.

When people sat in the Tange and traveled through the streets, enjoying the surrounding scenery to the fullest. During this period, when Tange riding was common, its artisans were also present in large numbers in the city. The manufacture of the thong was also a single craft, while its decoration and renovation were done by separate artisans. All the skilled workers associated with this employment have taken up other professions since the closure of this ride.
