Contest Week 8 - Power Up Your Steems with SFP".

My understanding about “power up” is that when you “power up” it gives you a certain amount of control over the steemit blockchain. I also see “power up”, as a way of giving back to the system by upvoting others. That way more people are encouraged to stay back and work more harder!

This is actually my first time participating in this contest hosted by @aaliarubab. I’ve always wanted to particpate but I was waiting till December to see how much I can generate from Steemit before ”redeeming my rewards” only for me to find out in one of the contest that I participated that I’m know longer a club member. I had to quickly redeem my rewards.

As I redeemed my reward, my steem increased from 5.503 to 34.208. My SBD also increased to 2.770 my steem power also topped up to 319. As at then I’ve not noticed that my TRX was missing in my wallet.

Since I’m a member of club5050, I had to divide my steem into two part. 1 part for my personal collection and the other half to SP. when It was time to power up, I was expecting to see something like “50% 50%”

it has been so long I left steemit and I’ve forgotten a lot of things. So, coming back recently and seeing a lot of new changes, the reason I was expecting a “50/50” for the power down.

I was now confused, when I was seeing only “power up”. I refused to click on it. I was scared of powering the whole 100% and not some for myself. I had to go to “SBD” to Check if it was the same thing, surprisingly, it was the same thing.

I had to wait for awhile, to get guidance from my boss @bossj23. When I told him what I’m seeing, he told me to go ahead and click on “power up”. I replied that “if the whole 100% goes out, he’ll give me the remaining half” he laughed at me!!

Immediately I clicked on it, it took me to this point. I now remembered that I am the one that is supposed to put the exact amount I wanted. Indeed, I was so dumb to have forgotten such thing.

I confirmed it but it gave me an error, i think that had to do with my password. I didn’t put it in correctly. But it finally went through.

Well, it finally went through.. you can notice the difference in the steem power. Steem power on the left says 319.291 STEEM and the new one is 336.291 STEEM.

It was around this period I noticed I couldn’t find my TRX in my wallet. I started wondering were the trx have gone to.. if it has gone to visit the king of England or is still in my wallet. I thought I’d done something wrong.

I had to go back to my boss to ask him if he knows where my “trx” have stroll too. It was then he told me that our trx has been paused for a while.

Sincerely, I wasn’t happy about that. At least, they would have given us prior information before now.
