It's another day to enter into the Steemit engagement challenge and I'm delighted to share my participation in this community. The title of this week's engagement challenge is The Hilarious World Of Stand-Up Comedy!🎭 and I will share my entry based on the hints below.

The Hilarious World Of Stand-Up Comedy!🎭 is a very interesting topic to talk about and I believe you will enjoy reading through the publication I will be writing here. Without further ado, let's get started.

🎭 What inspired you to delve into the world of stand-up comedy and How do you think watching Comedy helps a person in day-to-day life?

The world of stand-up comedy is an interesting world that I believe everyone at some point joins to watch to keep the body and soul together. One major thing that inspires me to join the stand-up comedy is for entertainment.

In a country like Nigeria where hardship and the economy are difficult, it is important that once in a while you should get entertained to free yourself and your mind from stress.

Watching comedy helps everyone including myself in our day-to-day life because it helps to relieve stress and also makes us forget our worries and put up a smile.

People especially those who have troubles need to watch comedy always because that is the only way they will get relief from the different worries or problems that come to their doorstep.

So watching these comedy to me gives me joy and happiness and it allows me to smile or laugh in most cases. The Nigerian comedy industry has stood out among others recently and they are doing well.

🎭 Who are your favorite stand-up comedians and why?

My favorite stand-up comedian is Sabinus. This is a skit maker and a comedian in the Nigerian comedy industry. He is the best I have seen in recent times because his comedy can make even the worst person on earth laugh.

When I first saw his comedy I decided to learn more about the young. He is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt and his comedy is usually about life experiences so it teaches serious lessons to all those who watch it.

The reason I selected him as the best for me is because his comedy gives me relief and the ability to understand life as it is. Since I started watching his comedy, I have learned a lot of life lessons and that is the main reason I keep him as the best.

🎭 Share a memorable experience from attending a stand-up comedy show OR watching it online.

I haven't met this comedian face-to-face but I have always watched his comedy or skit and one of the comedies or skits I would like to share with you all today is the comedy he did about one of the cross-dressers in the country that goes with the name Bobrisky.

In that comedy, Sabinus goes to the club and while coming back he decides to pick a lady for the night when he gets to his hotel room after taking his bath he discovers that the person he brought home as a woman is Bobrisky.

When he saw Bobrisky, he asked how it happened that he brought him home as a woman. So Bobrisky said to him that Sabinus had already paid everything for the night. So he should come to the bed.

It was indeed a funny scene and that cracked me seriously I laughed out my sorrow the first time I saw that comedy. To this moment, I still watch and smile always whenever I watch the said comedy.

🎭 Can you describe a humorous situation from your own life that would make a great stand-up routine?

One of the most humourous situations that happened in my life was the day I wanted to collect a prize from an organized competition in my locality. I had finished preparing myself and I came out for the gift without knowing that my name was not included for the day.

The dress I put on was quite funny because I was to dress as a clown on that very faithful day. So when they call out a person, to come get their gifts I will also go out and they will tell me to go back as it is not my turn yet.

I kept doing this all through the day until I became so tired. At some point, I became weak and tired, and later on I was called upon and then told that my gift wasn't for that day but for the next. That was the incident that took place that day that made that day a very interesting one while others also had lots of fun watching.
