In this competition of respected @suboohi ma'am, I remembered an incident from my childhood.
In those days, my father was posted from Lucknow city to my current city, at that time I had just passed 7th class and had come to 8th class, and I had studied in the reputed English medium school there. Therefore, I was not able to understand the study of subjects like Maths and Science etc. in any other medium except English medium.

My new school was of Hindi medium and my new Maths teacher spoke Urdu mixed Hindi. And was a very aggressive person by nature. That day was my first day, and perhaps it had been many days since the classes of that school had started, I got admission a little late.

I was unlucky that the teacher was very angry that day, and as soon as he saw me as a new student, he said to me "Hey, where have you come from, do you know how to solve a maths question?

I was very interested in maths and it was my favourite subject, so I said "Yes, ask me any question, I will solve it.

The maths teacher read out one math question to all class in his Urdu mixed language, which I could not understand at all, and all the children immediately started solving the questions in their notebooks and they also solved them but I kept sitting like that. Because I did not understand anything.

Then the teacher hit me on my hand with his thin tree stick and said don't you know anything. Tears came out of my eyes due to anger, pain and insult and I said I do not understand your language, ask any question written anywhere in the book, I will answer it. He asked me to answer a question from the middle of the book, I solved it immediately.

He realized his mistake and said sorry to me in front of everyone and arranged my seat in the front row. After that day I became his favourite student.
But it took me a long time to understand his Urdu mixed language.

Please come to read my story and participate in this completion @josepha ,@mehwish-almas and @tammanna

Thanks for reading my story , I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all Steemians

The story is very beautiful. However, I did not like the way that math teacher said on your first day (Hey, where did you come from) In fact, many times when we go to new places, he becomes a laughing stock and talks down to us in many ways, which is very difficult for a person.

You did not understand Urdu because you went to an English medium school, so it is natural, but I do not see it as a positive thing that you were beaten on the first day for not answering his questions correctly, because since sir does not know that you came first. However, the next time he could understand your mistake when solving math and he loved you a lot. Of course, if sir had not misunderstood you or had not beaten you for forgetting, you could not have been his favorite student. I also see this in a positive way. The story was very beautiful.

First of all, it is important to tell you that this story is 50 years old. In those days, it was not a legal offense for teachers to punish students in Hindi medium schools. It was the teachers' favorite thing to hit the students on the palm of their hands with a thin stick of mulberry or neem tree. Without this, it was not possible to maintain discipline in the class. And at that age, we did not feel bad because punishment was not given to just one person, anyone could get it. And all the teachers of those days loved their students a lot.
Thank you for reading my story and giving such a beautiful comment on it.

Sometimes even our teachers make mistakes unknowingly but not everyone has the ability to admit their mistake and ask for forgiveness. I have rarely come across such teachers.
Then you are a math subject expert. And surely your children will have inherited this passion.

Yes, that teacher was very short-tempered but was gentle from inside like a coconut. I have only one son and he has no interest in maths. Yes, maths has been my companion throughout my life. Earlier, I was a district level accounts officer in a government department and later, in the same department, I got promoted as an administrative officer. And now a days I am working online supply business.
