Asalamoalaikum everyone, I love reading self help books and I read many books in past years, the first book I read was "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind," by Joseph Murphy and I loved it. So today I will give you some idea of what book is all about. In the book, Joseph Murphy tells us the ways in which our subconscious mind works in our everyday life. The book explains that while humans often think about conscious thoughts, the subconscious mind works in quiet in the background and influences behaviors and emotions often without one even noticing. Example we keep saying in our head that I can not do this and that and it is saving in our subconscious mind automatically.

Subconscious is extremely powerful; it keeps the record of our beliefs, experiences, and memories. All that influences, in one way or another, lots of our activities and habits. That is the reason why much of what we do is influenced by thoughts we are not even aware of. Depending on the nature of such thoughts, they may either help us achieve success or create a problem in life.

One of the major ideas taken from this book is the emphasis on positive thinking. He makes it clear that instead of dwelling on what we do not want, focusing our minds on what we desire can actually change reality. The nature of negativity creates barriers whereas the nature of positivity leads to success and happiness. The thought is very parallel with the concept of the law of attraction; where, basically, thinking positively invites positivity in life.

He then introduces techniques to make use of the subconscious mind, which include visualization and affirmations. One must visualize the achievement of goals as if they have already been achieved. This goes a long way in building a strong belief in the achievement of these goals. Murphy asks for a commitment of a few minutes a day to be used in visualizing in detail what one intends to get, which in turn works to boost confidence and motivation. Affirmations are positive statements we say to ourselves. Negative thoughts, replaced with positive ones, like "I can do it," or "I attract success," reprogram our subconscious mind and increase our self-esteem and confidence. The book also describes how our subconscious thinking can reflect on our body health. Belief in the possibility of our healing and continued health may translate into actual health. Such thoughts make many readers active participants in health matters because our mind and body are intertwined.

He also gives many examples and stories to make these concepts more understandable. Murphy encourages readers to create a positive mindset and be cognizant of one's thoughts. One can build up a more successful and satisfactory life by focusing on positive thinking, visualization, and affirmations.
