"Rainy Weather And Me"

Welcome to my blog, friends! I know we are all keeping warm this rainy season especially those of us from the tropical African zones. It has been raining daily. Sometimes, this comes unannounced and untimed as we continue to carry out our daily activities.

During rainy seasons in my country (Nigeria), are characterized by so many ideologies, practical events, and other activities. Raining seasons in the country commence in March and end probably by September. Though there are still a few. Rains were witnessed in October, November, and December but this cannot be compared with its peak times in June and July.

This is a season that comes with cold weather and all accompanying flu-related sicknesses. We tend to put on clothing with thinker resistance to external cold due to the accumulated effects that break us down when exposed. But we all know that we appreciate a time like this compared to the scorching heat seasons that bring lots of discomfort day and night.

However, though rainy seasons may come with distortation of work activities, it is an inevitable season that helps bring balance between the hot and cold weather conditions. Notwithstanding, I feel generally code during such weather conditions. This has also seen my kind of clothing style change to something heavy and different from the conventional light wear.

I am a field salesman and working at different seasons is what I do. There are no specific tasks that may be aligned with me during this period. However, during leisure.tike, it won't be bad to have some of the warmest meals consumed.

Some of these meals are barbecue fish, and chicken pepper soup with chilled wine. Drinking alcoholic drinks during this period is mostly a way to stay warm as well given its effect.

My favorite food during the rainy season is hot meals capable of bringing warmth after consumption. Having a barbecue fish or a fish pepper soup is one that most people would long for. Most pepper-sauced foods like chicken, cow meat, and other varieties are best-served delicacies during rainy seasons.

For drinks, I mostly preferred red or white wines irrespective of their category of being an alcoholic or nonalcoholic. They are usually the best match for those aforementioned delicacies.

I could remember some good old days when I started my job. Just as always, I was in my incubation period, with insufficient savings to acquire a car at that time. It was a memorable experience that made me fast-track my quest to purchase a car for the continued discomfort and inconvenience of the weather.

This scenario kept happening repeatedly while coming back from work. Due to the rains, I would have to wait until it subsides and when it does, there are high human presence on the road who are also struggling to use the taxis. I remember engaging in several rush struggles.

At some points where I needed to take a taxi drop, the struggles were also seen at those different bus stops. Unfortunately, I would also have to contend with the rains at some points. It was a depressive moment for me as I continued to strive for a car to help reduce these inconveniences.

Getting a car does not completely overrule some of the excesses or inconveniences of the rainy season. It can only reduce it to its bearest minimum but not completely. I could also remember a few months ago when my car broke down, I was beaten by the rains as we tried to fix it or tow it back to a safer space.
