Today, I am bringing you delicious delicacy ( fresh fish soup with okro) which will spice up your day. What do I mean by this meal spicing up your day?

In as much as I love sharing my meal recipe, I also like to look into the health benefits of every food recipe shared. Let's see few benefits of fresh fish soup with okro.

- It help reduce the risk of stroke /heart attack because fish contain vitamins, protein and nutrient that lowers blood pressure.
- It keeps the brain healthy and functioning especially during development of infant (very good for pregnant women and young kids).
After getting to know the benefits of this food, what else is stopping you from preparing and having a taste of it?
Ingredients
- Periwinkle
- Fresh fish
- Water
- Palm oil
- Onions
- Maggi
- Fresh pepper
- Bitter leaf
- Salt
Now let's see the preparation procedures;
Step 1 : Remove scale from the fish, cut to your desired size and wash. After doing that, prepare other of your food ingredients (that is; slice onion and cut okro).

Step 2: Arrange fish in the pot and make sure to use a wide pot so the fish won't scatter. Add ingredients (onions, fresh pepper, salt and maggi) and steam.

Step 3: After a while, add palm oil so it will boil together with the fish.

Step 4: Add a little water with other ingredients if necessary and continue cooking.

Step 5: Add periwinkle and cover the pot to boil.

Step 6: Pour the okro into the pot and wait for 2 minutes before adding bitter leaf, then cook for 1 minute before putting the pot down.

Note: Do not cover the pot after putting okro. Reason is that soup doesn't get thick if the pot is covered immediately after putting okro.
