Hello Chefs!
Welcome to the last day of Steemit Engagement Challenge season 7 for week 4. It's a pleasure to participate in this contest and to share my entry in Steemit Iron Chef Community. This week's theme is really interesting and easy to go with.

In food making, seasoning is a primary thing because meals cannot be served without adding a particular flavour to make it presentable or pleasant to consume.
These two ingredients are the top secret of my seasoning because they add special flavour to every meal I prepare; African nutmeg and onions.

Do you Think you Have Seasoning to Make your Meal

Yes, I have different types of seasoning which I used in preparing all kinds of meals. As we all know, not all seasoning that suits every meal. For example; when I'm preparing soup I don't like putting curry or thyme because I don't enjoy the flavour it gives in soup but I like it when preparing fried rice, jollof rice or sauce.

Who Taught you How to Cook

Here in Nigeria, everyone believes that; as a female child you must know how to cook and deal with all the kitchen chores. While growing up, I never liked cooking. I developed the passion for it as a teen and started watching my mum and aunties while they are cooking. I got to learn very fast because I was interested in it. I also learned how to cook from trying out people's food recipe online.

Do you Consider Seasoning to be Innate?

Yes, I consider seasoning to be innate because before and after I was born most of the food ingredients especially seeds were already in use by our grandparents. All were natural ingredients that is very healthy but as time goes on, most of it are now modified into sachet, bottles and tins.

What are the Condiments you Consider should not be Missing in your Meals in Order to give them Excellent Seasoning?

This depends on the kind of meal I'm preparing. For example; if I'm making sauce I wouldn't want onions, salt, maggi, curry and thyme to miss in the meal.

Generally, I always consider onions not to miss because it gives me special flavour in every meal. In pepper soup, porridge plantain, sauced meat and native soup, I always consider African nutmeg not to miss. Every meal has its own secret seasoning and that makes that meal special and sweet.

What are the Meals your Family likes the Most, you Prepare them with your Fabulous Season

My family likes pepper soup rice the most and each time I prepare pepper soup I make sure to add my secret seasoning which is African nutmeg and onions. Although, my younger siblings likes noodles the most. Each time I prepare for them I also make sure to put onions for flavour which is one of the secrets seasoning.
