Hi chefs. I made a sumptuous meal for lunch yesterday..it was ripe plantain and beans. So I've really made lots of recipes with the plantains that got ripe from my little farm and they all tasted well. This was the last of them and I decided to boil some and fry some😅
Ripe plantain and beans is a really nutritious food. It is so satisfying and really healthy to the body. It provides lots of nutrients and serves as a good source of protein.
I also decided to add my recipe too
Ingredients
Ripe plantains
Beans
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Seasoning cubes
Peppers
Onions
Crayfish (optional for the beans)
Palm oil
First, wash the plantains and peel them off then slice them to your desired style. I decided to slice them this way to ensure that the oil heats all angles thoroughly.
Then, pick the beans, remove all sand, debris and other unwanted particles as they are really common in raw beans. I usually wash mine then pour the water underneath which contains the stones and debris.
Slice peppers, pound crayfish, slice onions and unwrap the seasoning cubes.
Then fry the plantains in hot Vegetable oil
You can also boil the plantains at this stage.
Set the beans on fire and keep checking to see if it's soft, when it's boiling and steaming all round and is soft to some extent, add all ingredients and stir lightly. When the water is almost dried, add the palm oil and turn off the heat.
Lunch is served.
This meal is elaborate to some extent but it's easy to prepare. The only rigorous process is in picking the beans and washing it thoroughly. Beans are also really easy to cook because they taste really good even with little ingredients and it's also satisfying. It can be eaten with many foods such as bread, yams, plantains, rice, spaghetti or even pap. Anything goes!😊

Hola amiga me gusta mucho está receta porque los frijoles bayos como se conocen aquí en Venezuela son muy ricos además contienen bastante hierro y proteína y al añadirle el cangrejo le aporta un sabor único
