Introduction


Good day to you, I welcome you to my page.

Here I'm going to be discussing about the topic With flavor and taste of my country.

I talk about the products that we produce in our country and the products and/or food they produce.

As you go through the write-up, I hope it will be worth your while.


With flavor and taste of my country


This write has a little bit of agriculture in it because of the production of the products that are produced in my country.

In my country, Nigeria, agriculture is our biggest export after Crude Oil. We export the much desired produce and in turn earn in foreign currencies.

The main products that are produced in our country and sold overseas are:
Cocoa
Rubber
Palm Oil

Out of the 3 products listed above, cocoa is the produce that is sold most in overseas countries.
The different parts of the country where cocoa are produced are Ondo, Cross River, Ogun, Akwa Ibom, etc

The countries they are exported to includes Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Malaysia, and the United States of America. Of these 5 countries, the two countries where cocoa are sort after the most and where they are exported to are Netherlands and Germany.

The average price of cocoa beans per kilogram is between ₦1,342.40 to ₦1,789.86. And between ₦608.80 to ₦811.73 per pounds (lb).

The cocoa product in Nigeria is highly versatile. Due to its versatility, a lot of products can be derived from it.

The most popular product that originates from cocoa is chocolate. It is the most popular delicacy from the cocoa seed because of its sweet taste, delightful flavor, and how it feels in the mouth.

Other products from cocoa are cocoa butter, cocoa powder, pectin, potash and animal feed.

The second produce that is exported in large quantities is rubber. There are different parts of the country where rubber is grown. They include Edo, Cross River, Delta, Anambra, Abia, etc

The main countries where rubber products from Nigeria are exported to are France, the US, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and Italy.

The average price of rubber in Nigeria is between ₦67.20 to ₦327.02 per kilogram. And between ₦30.47 to ₦150 per pounds (lb).

The products from rubber products from Nigeria are tires, elastic threads, carpet, condoms, glue, etc.

It should be noted that the products from rubber are not edible which is not the aim of this post, but it falls amongst the top exported products of Nigeria asides oil, hence it's inclusion.

The third on the list which is palm oil is also exported in large quantities but behind cocoa and rubber in the perking order.

The price of one litre of oil varies depending on location, but it is between ₦1400 to ₦1800.

The countries where palm oil were exported to are the US, Ghana, Canada, Niger, and United Arab Emirates.

Palm oil can be used to produce a wide range of products as it is almost found in diverse things.

But our focus is on edible products.

Palm oil can be used to produce cakes, chocolates, biscuits, margarine, cooking oils, etc.
