The experience of eating prepared udon by Udom

Greetings to all of you friends. Today, I want to share my experience of eating a Japanese food called Udon during dinner at a friend's house. My curiocity started from when the friend promised to surprise me with a food that bears my name, Udom. I was really anticipating having a taste of the said meal.When the food was finally prepared, I was surprised to see that it looks like macaroni but with a larger texture.

When I was served by my friend, I noticed that the Udon noodles were thicker that the usual macaroni that I know, it was properly cooked by his wife, a Japanese woman. I must say that it was flavourful.

How Udon food was prepared
I was told that they first steam udon for two minutes, then they cut onion, gallic, cabbage. After boiling udon for two minutes. They placed frying pan on fire, add some vegetable oil, then add gallic and then carrot and stirs it for some seconds, then add cabbage and salt, allows it to steam for like fifteen seconds, turned the boilled Udon to the pot, add soya sauce and stired it. It’s as simple as that. I was told that I can add chicken of I want.

It was time to take my first bit after a prayer of thanks, the excellent flavors was mouth watering, every bit was precious understanding that this particular food was brought from Japan. Making each bit an unforgatable experience. The food was a simple meal, but eating Udon for the first time went beyond just satisfying hunger that evening, it delightfully left a lasting impression of seeing why the Japanese in my friends compound are always fond of my name when ever I introduce myself as Udom.
The experience added to my enjoyment that evening,we laughed and joked about Udom eating Udon. A sweet dessert was served at the end of the Udon meal, it was another supprise. It is called blue corn, nice chips for Mexicans. I must say, it was a nice evening for me.

Another Exciting Discovery
When I left my friends house the following day, another interesting thing happened. A couple that attended the Udon get-together noticed a pair of indoor slippers with the inscription Udon. He took a picture of it and send it to me. Having observed my excitement in eating Udon food, he thought that the Udon-themed slippers will be equally captivating. And Indeed, I appreciated his efforts and noticed that the slippers name was an advertisement of Udon food.

This food has made it easier for any Japanese to recall my name, a fact that I have experienced with Japanese that I know in Sierra Leone.

This blue corn is not actually blue but it description by you shadows it tastes good too. You had a nice time with your Japanese friends.

I appreciate that you read through my post. Yes, the color of the desert is not blue. It's made from a corn that is blue in color. It's grown in Mexico.
