S16-W2 “My own contest topic": A Culinary Journey with Mom: Keema Aloo Delights

Hello Steemit Iron Chef community!

I am thrilled to participate in the second week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge S16W2 with my own contest theme. Today I want to take you on delicious journey into my kitchen where my amazing mother is the master chef. I must admit I am not the best cook but I am fortunate to have a culinary genius in the family

Lets dive into the heart of our meal today two scrumptious recipes that hold a special place in my heart and belly. Without further ado let me present the first recipe:

1st Recipe: Keema Aloo

Ingredients:

  • 500g minced meat (keema)
  • 4 medium-sized potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes pureed
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instruction:

  1. Heat oil in pan and add cumin seeds Once they splutter add Chopped onions and sauté Until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger garlics paste and cook until the raw smell disappears .
  3. Stir in pureed tomatoes turmeric powder coriander powder red chili powder and salt. Cook until the oil separates .
  4. Add minced meat and cook until it changes color.
  5. Throw in the diced potatoes mix well and let it cook for few minutes.
  6. Pour in a cup of water cover and Simmer until the potatoes are tender and the keema is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander Leaves and your Keema Aloo is ready to be savored!

Now lets move on to the second culinary delight:

2nd Recipe: Keema Aloo Matar

Ingredients:

  • The same ingredients as Keema Aloo plus
  • 1 cup green peas (matar)

Instructions:

  1. Follows the same steps for Keema Aloo Until the potatoes are tender .
  2. Add green pea to the mixture and cook until they are soft and well incorporated.
  3. Garnish with corander leaves and Keeema Aloo Matar is Ready to grace your table

I hope you enjoy trying out these recipes as much I do. my mother kitchen is a place where flavors dance and memories are made and I am grateful to share taste of it with you all.
