When you power up, you not only increase your voting weight (which directly has an impact on the size of the rewards your posts can receive) but you also become one of the contributors to the betterment of the Steemit ecosystem on the whole. More Steem Power equalizes to more stability and activity at all levels.

I had 187.056 Steems ready to be converted into Steem Power (SP) when I made the decision to power up. When I noticed that I now had 57, 127.641 Steems as SP in my wallet, I knew the transaction was finished.

I can definitely say that this journey has been more than just worthwhile for me! Witnessing my SP grow doesn’t just increase my self-confidence, but it also pushes encourage me to make better content and interact more actively with others on this steemit social media.

I tell you, every time I power up, I feel like I am moving nearer to That to a whale rank---an ambition that makes me enthusiastic!
