A Delightful Tunisian Dinner: Couscous and More!

Hey, everyone! 🌟 Last night I enjoyed a delicious Tunisian dinner featuring couscous from my favorite restaurant. It was a delightful experience that reminded mee of our rich culinary traditions I can’t wait to share how to make this wonderful dish at home

The Star of the Meal: Couscous

Couscous is a staple in Tunisian cuisine known for its fluffy texture and ability to absorb flavors. Here’s how you can make it at home:

Ingredients:

  • Couscous: The base of the dish.
  • Broth: Chicken, or vegetable, for added flavor.
  • Vegetables: Carrots, zucchini, and bell peppers.
  • Chickpeas: For proteine and texture.
  • Spices: Cumin, coriander, and harisssa (for a spicy kick).
  • Olive oil: For richness.
  • Fresh parsley: For garnish.

Instructions:

  1. Start by heating olive oil in a pot and sautéing chopped onion until it’s soft.
  2. Add diced carrotss, zucchini, and bell peppers; cook until tender.
  3. Stir in chickpeas, cumin, coriander, and harissa, mixing well.
  4. In a separate pot bring broth to a boil, then pour it over the couscous. Cover and let it steam for about 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff the couscous with a foork and combine it with the vegetable mixture. Garnish with parsley.

Refreshing Salad

To complement the couscous, a refreshing salad is a must!

Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes: Diced.
  • Cucumber: Chopped.
  • Onion: Sliced.
  • Olives: For a salty kick.
  • Fresh parsley: Chopped.
  • Lemon juice and olive oil: For dressing.

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil season with salt and pepper and toss gently.

Grilled Chicken

A flavorful grilled chicken can elevate the meal.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breasts: Marinated in harissa, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill until cooked through and nicely charred.

Amigo disculpa pero si hubieses leído las reglas las cumples tal coml se indica, allí claramente dice que se debe Colocar un cartel con el nombre de la comunidad Steemit-ironchef, usuario y fecha. Además se debe incluir las respectivas fotos de las comidas del dia, no es necesario que aparezcas en una foto con tus delicias, solo se piden las comidas del día.
