Today I'm happy to join the New Weekly Dynamic in the Steemit Iron Chef, Community with these delicious ditalini pasta salad I made for lunch today. Today is Monday, and the topics our dear @reinamia will be visiting are #sicpasta and #sicrice.
Today I prepared a ditalini pasta salad for our late lunch at home. This is a fun pasta, which includes short tentacle octopus sausage and fried chickpeas.
Here are the ingredients I used, clockwise:
- corn and carrots
- ditalini pasta
- Polish sausages and cooked chickpeas
- topping: avocado pesto, spreadable cheese, prepared moztaza
- black olives (canned)
In addition to this, I used boiled eggs, freshly ground black pepper, and a few sprigs of ciboulette for decorating.
Preparing this salad is very simple. The pasta should be al dente and should be cold at the time of adding the dressing.
I fried the sausages along with the chickpeas so that the chickpeas would pick up some of the flavor.
Chickpeas, sausages and boiled eggs add a lot of protein to this dish, ideal for big kids like us XD
I used natural corn. I boiled the kernels together with the chopped carrot and added a little salt and a little sugar to the water, to give them more flavor.
Be sure to cool the boiled eggs well before cutting them into pieces, so that the yellow does not break. It is good that each ingredient contributes a distinct flavor and texture; it makes for a much more enjoyable experience :)
