Today I'm happy to join the New Weekly Dynamic in the Steemit Iron Chef Community with this delicious penne with sautéed mushrooms I made for dinner today, #sicpasta. Today is Monday, and the topic is pasta or rice.
My eyes are always looking for pasta ai funghi porcini on the menu. It's a dish that I really like. Today I prepared a homemade version to give myself a little treat for dinner.
This dish, as you can see is pretty simple.
I just sautéed the mushrooms with julienned green onions, a few cloves of garlic and 1/3 cup of finely chopped bacon in the wok.
It should have been 240 gr of pasta for two people, but we are trying to cut back on carbs, so I cooked only 160 gr.
We like our pasta al dente, so I let the penne boil for 3 minutes.
Finally, I added the penne in the wok and let everything cook for 30 seconds.
Each ingredient had a firm texture when the dish was ready. I added a tablespoon of finely chopped parsley after removing the wok from the heat.
As you can see, I sprinkled freshly ground black pepper and Parmesan to finish the dish.
I was delicious! Not even the sprig of parsley lived to tell the tale.
