Generally, I'm not too fond of yellow color. But when it comes in food I like it very much. Most of the fruits are yellow in color. And in India, we almost eat one recipe every day which is in yellow color. That is not an artificial food color, that color appears because of the spices we use in cooking. One of the main ingredients is Turmeric, which takes a significant part in our everyday cooking. Hope you all know the benefits of Turmeric. The color yellow is mixed with our lifestyle.
In between this post, I will share some interesting facts about Turmeric.

Tempered Rice with Omelet
Tempered Rice (தாளிச்ச சாதம் - in Tamil language) is a one of my favorite food. Which is easier to make and you can do this with hot boiled rice or yesterday's leftover rice. Both will taste so good. A bowl of tempered rice with Lemon or Mango pickles will take me to heaven. Love it ❤😋...
This time I tried it with Omlet. So I will get one more dish in yellow color. I used Duck Eggs to make an omelet. We have Egg laying ducks on our farm. It is big in size compared to the chicken egg. I just added salt and pepper to it. Simple one.

Let's see the ingredients for the tempered rice.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 Medium size Onion
- 2 Tomato
- Groundnuts
- Pinch of Turmeric
- 3 Red chillies
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dal
- small piece of Ginger
- Curry leaves
INSTRUCTION
Keep the rice ready in bowl. In a pan add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, onion, tomato, ground nut, red chillies, ginger, curry leaves, and turmeric powder. Fry all together until the green vegetables cooks well. After that, add the boiled / left over rice in pan and mix well. Then add salt as required. Now it is ready to serve.
Vegitable pickle is best combination for this dish. Enjoy it with your family.

Papaya Coconut Milkshake
Next I prepared a healthy drink out of two ingredients Papaya and coconut milk. Very easy and tasty energy drink.
I already made a post about coconut milk making. You can check it out later. Today I am going to add papaya in coconut milk.
I took 1 coconut, then i grated it. Then i added it in mixer jar, and added 2 glass of water, 2 cardamom, and 4 Dates in it. Then i grinded well for 5 minutes. Then i filtered the the milk in a glass. Then i took small size fresh Papaya from our farm. I peeled the papaya and chopped it into small pieces. Then in mixer jar i added all the papaya piece and grinded well. After that i filtered the papaya juice in separate glass.
Then i mixed both papaya and coconut milk and added brown sugar for extra sweetness. First time i tried this in home. It is really tasted well. You should try this healthy drink once.
It didn't come in yellow color. So please apologize me @mvchacin. But i wanted to share this healthy drink in this community.
