Assalam o alikum friends welcome to my blog I am @sualeha from Pakistan it's pleasure for me to share my participation post in steemit iron chef community in the contest Recipe of the day week no 56 hosting by @dasudi ,today I am going to share with all of you Chicken Korma/gravy with you it's one of the most popular traditional Pakistani cousins I learnt this recipy from my mother so guys let's move on my recipe ,along ingredients and step by step procedure.

  • Recipe name : Chicken Qorma
  • Cooking time:30 minutes
  • Serving size :6 to 8 person
Ingredients list
750gm Chicken
450 gm Youhgat
2 tbs Ginger garlic paste
1 cup Oil
4 to 5 Onion fine sliced
1 tbs Red chilli powder
1 tbs Coriander powder
1 tbs Turmeric powder
Salt as per taste
Green cardimun

Procedure

  • Step :1
    In first I peeled off the onions and finely sliced from cutter ,hot the oil in pan and fried onions till turned golden brown.

When onions became golden brown off the flame and strained out from oil by strainer and let it cool for a while then crushed by hands .Guys keep in mind the crispy golden onion made your Qorma more delicious and key ingredient of the recipe so tried it will not burn .

Now in the same in which oil already had added washed chicken pieces and fried onions medium flame till removed excess water in it then Add ginger garlic paste and fried more .

I wants fine paste of youhgat and fried onions for chicken gravy for that I added both ingredients in blender jar and blended them and got fine thick paste of onion and yoghurt.

  • Step :4

Now I am going to add power spices in which red chilli powder,cumin powder , coriander powder,salt and turmeric powder and saute well .

  • Step :5

After five minutes chicken absorbed spices then I added blended taste of youhgat and onion and mixed it well on medium flame because when we add the blended mixture instantly it became thick so that stage must the flame low to kept masala burning.

After 10 minutes add one glass of water for chicken tender and completely cooked ,covered the lid and cooked for 5 to 10 minutes.

Final presentation

When the golden colour oil appeared on the top of our chicken gravy it's indicate our Qorma is done now off the flame and dish out.we enjoyed it with bread and naan 🫓.

  • Chicken is the good source of high quality protein which essential for our body issue repairing tissues,organs .it's also support immune system and provide minerals and vitamins .

  • Similar youhgat also very good by product of milk having good bacteria that played very important role in digestion ,high in protein,rice in calcium and protein.The combination of other ingredients made the meal more healthy and balanced meals .
