The name of my favorite flowers is taro ,taro has a
big flowers which are green in colour it which has the shape of love .It has soft stems and it can stems can grow about 1 .6m height. Taro is a perennial herbaceus plant and it produces a tuber which js spherical like the shape of a tennis and it is brown in colour with some hairs.Taro is looks pinkish purple when cut open .root crops that is grown in the tropical region and it serves as one of the staple food for people here in Ghana and other countries.

How to grow and care for taro
Taro is a tropical plant which requires a temperature of about 77° to 95°F or 25-35°C and consistent availability of moisture to grow well.
Taro tubers are planted in a wet soils which are moist ,rich and well drained for moisture retention.
This is normally done in the wet season here in Ghana.soil soil is turned and made soft with the help of a hoe .when that is done we rise the bed a bit to avoid it soaking to much water when it rains.
Afterwards the taro small tubers or suckers are planted on the beds with about 16 to 25 inches apart.
The plant is watered in morning and evening.
Keep the taro plant bed weed free .

Benefits of the taro flower.
Taro leaves contain a lot of vitamin A,B6 ,E, C which help boast your body immune system by eliminating free radicals.
It also has huge amount of proteins.

It contains alot of dietary fibre which aids in digestion and weight loss .

The leaves can use reduce the pain of insects stings by rubbing the leaves on tge affected part.

The tubers of taro is used to pound fufu in Ghana .
