From the very beginning, I would like to wish all the members of the Steam-Garden community a Happy New Year. How are you all? By the grace of Allah Ta'ala you are well. I am also fine with your mercy.
There was an abandoned land next to our house. No trees have been planted in the area for about 3 years. Finally, some plum trees were planted in the abandoned place about three months ago. The trees are well cared for. We have two species of plum seedlings in that land. For example: 1. Native plum 2. Apple cool plum. Our garden has been planted according to the amount of land. The number of trees is 15. And the plum trees have begun to grow on those seedlings.
Plum tree :
Cool, plum or large scientific name Ziziphus zizyphus. The fruit of the most common, thorny tree in South Asia. In English it is commonly referred to as Jujube or Chinese date. Almost everywhere in Bangladesh, plum trees grow in all types of soils. Slightly oval plums are commonly referred to as "cool".
Fertilizer management :
Add 1-2 kg of organic manure, 150 g of urea, 125 g of TSP and M and P to the soil at the rate of 125 g before and after monsoon. ** In 3-4 year old trees, before and after the rains, add organic manure at the rate of 7.5 kg, urea 250 gm, TSP and MOP 200 gm to the soil.
Caring for plum trees :
Satisfactory yield of cool is available in any type of soil. Trees can tolerate salinity and waterlogging. However, good yields are obtained in heavy and slightly alkaline sandy loam soils. High and medium elevation lands are good for cultivation in the form of gardens.
The benefits of plums :
Pickled plums are beneficial for patients with high blood pressure and diabetes. This fruit works in curing diseases like diarrhea, persistent obesity, anemia, bronchitis etc. ... Cool also prevents seasonal fever, cold and cough. In addition, the fruit increases digestion and appetite.
