INTRODUCTION TO SCOUT COMMUNITY

INTRODUCTION

This is my very first post in scout community and in this post I will introduce my self in details and briefly I hope to find it
interesting here .
My name is a Azeez Alamin Olamide which I'm also known as @alala1204 on Steemit . i would love to join your community because i also belong to a scouting group here in Nigeria. On joining steemit I found out about this scout community and I love to become a member here on steemit also

ABOUT MY SCOUT GROUP

Allow me to brief you a bit about my scout group here in Nigeria. The name of my scout group is VARSITY AIRSCOUT in Ilorin, Nigeria. They have different branches across the State.

I joined the Varsity Airscout because of my great interest and passion for military activities and also to save and protect my mother land from corruption which has circulated the whole nation

HOW I END UP TO JOIN VARSITY AIRSCOUT

It all started when I gained admission into the university and luckily for me on our orientation day the scout member and their leaders were present on this wonderful day

They perform all sort of things which even inspired me to join them and after the whole celebration they nicely asked about who would like to join them in scouting and at that point in time I knew this is my chance and I have to seize the grand opportunity at that moment so each one of us that feel we are interested in scouting have to put down our names so has to be added in a Whatsapp group.

So after the whole ceremony we all went to our various homes and it happens that the next day was their meeting day which was on Wednesday , And because we have put down our name I was able to get notified that, that day is their meeting day so I have to join them in meeting and a lot was explained to all the newly welcomed members
and we were also taught the scout laws and scout promise

If you permit me I will like to state the scout laws and also the scout promise as well

Scout Promise

On my Honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
To do my duties to God
And to my country Nigeria,
To help other people at all time
And to obey the scout law

Scout Laws

1. A Scout’s honour is to be trusted.
2. A Scout is loyal.
3. A Scout’s duty is to be useful and to help others.
4. A Scout is a friend to all and a brother to every other Scout.
5. A Scout is courteous.
6. A Scout is a friend to animals.
7. A Scout obeys orders of his parents, Patrol Leader or Scoutmaster without question.
8. A Scout smiles and whistles under all difficulties.
9. A Scout is thrifty.
10. A Scout is clean in thought, word and deed.

CONCLUSION

This is the least i can gather for now buh as time goes on i will like to give more details about VARSITY AIRSOUT
and also my past experience about scouting
