Hello everyone, how are you doing?, I welcome you to the Steemit engagement challenge for the 5th season, and I am glad to participate in the Scouts y sus Amigos community to discuss : "My Favorite Celebration of the Year".
This is a very interesting topic I shall partake in, and I hope you enjoy it as well, Read on!!.
Eid Al-adha is an annual Muslim celebration that occurs during the Hajj period, the Hajj period has been a culture in the Muslim religion, and also one of five obligations of Islam.
So, it is duely that every year, Muslims all over the world sacrifice by killing of a ram or goats to celebrate the history of prophet Ibrahim, this is an interesting part of the year, and it's also the coming together of friends and family.
The celebration day goes in two ways, first duty of the day is to go to Eid(Mosque) to perform the Eid prayers, then afterwards, you return to your various homes to make sacrifice of a Ram and share with family and loved ones.
Getting Ready for Mosque:
As the first duty of the day is to go to Mosque, within this period, we must be fasting, that is, one shouldn't have eat anything from the day period till the Eid prayer is said, so in that case, we have to prepare early and the Eid prayer starts by 9:00am.
Then before that time, everyone is already at the Eid ground with their prayer, by 9:00am , the imam said the Eid prayer and afterwards, greetings follow by saying "Eid Mubarak" , and the congregation replies with "Eid Mubarak" as well, which means Happy Festival.
This is the part where everyone take pictures with their friends and family's, this only occur once in a year, and there is a probability you might not see your family as usual until the next Eid celebration, we meet and greets old friends , then afterwards everybody heads home.
Getting home, everybody are in a happy mood, and as well willing to take pictures, and it's of no doubt that this kind of pictures create memories you will never forget.
The first picture I took was the one with my mum on the left, and afterwards, I took pictures of the family as well.
That's as interesting as Eid celebration gets, after doing the little family time, now it's time to make sacrifice of effort. The men are in charge of the slaughtering of RAM, while the women are in charge of the cooking.
The Eid celebration is always an unforgettable one, friends and family from a long distance cojoined to celebrate with us as well.
After all the cooking is done, we share a portion to everyone in the neighborhood, and as well share the meats among the family top members, then everyone eats and eat for the next couple of days.
Eid Al-adha is one of the most important celebration in the Muslim community, it doesn't end in a day of Eid, it continues for the next two to three days, and the memories are always unforgettable.
Eid Al-adha is the Muslim congregation celebration that occurs once in a year all around the globe, it's always a unique moment in the Muslim community and it leaves an unforgettable memories, friends and families from a long distance gathers together to celebrate this important annual festival which this makes it to be more important and standout among other celebrations.
Thank you all for reading through, I hope to see a great deal of you next time . I hereby invite @solexybaba and @josepha to discuss there favorite celebration as well. Goodbye!!

One of the things that I like the most about Steemit is that it allows you to learn about these important aspects of cultures far from my land. I am from Venezuela in South America.
In another order of ideas, related to the promotion of STEEM, I would like to invite you to take a look at the following post, which has some fresh ideas to promote STEEM. Maybe this interests you.
