Most times as humans we tend to be forgetful, especially because we are nervous or because we are thinking about other things that also need our attention. Stress can also be a contributing factor of forgetfulness.
So I found this contest to be really interesting and so i have to participate.

Have you ever been saying something and forgot what you were talking about, what happened?

20230401_093701.jpg

Yes this has happened to me severally, because I tend to forget things and I wonder why. Sometimes when I'm telling a story or saying something to someone and a little thing distracts me, I forget where I stopped and most times I don't even continue or the person has to remind me of the part I was saying. This happens to me very often that i wonder if it's normal things.

This happens to me even when I'm thinking about something in my brain, another thought just clouds in and I forget the other thing I was thinking about, I've always suspected that this is a problem for me but I hope it's not serious. Because i get very forgetful.

When you have been asked a question that you know, but at the moment of answering you got confused, how do you respond?

20230401_090806.jpg

When i get confused while answering a question it might have been that I forgot the real meaning of the question so in my mind I start thinking of the question again. Sometimes I ask the questioner, 'I hope this is your question ' repeating it for him.

If it's in a written form I usually storm my brain to be able to produce the correct answer but most times I end up giving 70% accurate answer to that question and after writing I remember the accurate way to answer it. Most times I feel regret about this.

Do you always remember your ideas and everything you have to do, or do you have to take notes?

No, I don't always remember everything, in fact I feel that most of the times I always forget, especially the things that I have to buy in the market, so I make a list of everything I need to get so as not to forget anything.
Sometimes I even write down the things I'm supposed to do at home to make sure I do everything.

When you answer a question, do you repeat the question as part of your answer?

No I don't, this is an unnatural thing for me to do, except if I don't really understand the question, only then will I ask it again for emphasis.

Has anything curious or serious ever happened because you forgot what you were supposed to say?

No nothing very serious has happened to me for that, but I suspect it might happen in the future...

The only thing that happen is that i get ashamed when I have to forget my lines and start going crooked in a speech. It makes me nervous.

Most times I have had to give a talk assignment in the meetings at our kingdom hall I attend and sometimes I miss what I want to say due to being nervous, but after sometime I get back to the line again. Sometimes it makes me ashamed but after the talk they always congratulate me and say I did very well. That's encouraging!

I wish there was a way to stop myself from forgetting most things. Sometimes even when I try to focus on one thing, other thoughts come in and I am distracted, sometimes I feel I'm too young for these.

Well this has been my participation for this nice contest that helps us express our feelings. I invite:

Hola amiga!

Little distractions while telling story to someone makes us to forget what we were saying, and I think it is normal for everyone.

¡Saludos amiga!😊
