Hello, my friend @dove11 invited me to this contest, and as I am always up for a challenge, I joined to write about my story.
Your story
Emily and Benjamín are a young couple, dating for about 4 years. They are both journalists and like adventures, the outdoors, and living life to the fullest. On the weekend they had planned to go to the beach, a simple round trip. As they head out to the beach, they hear on the news that due to the approach of a tropical storm the beaches are closed. Benjamín laughs and looking at Emily changes course.
Emily asks him where they are going, that wasn't the way back home, to which Ben replies - Who said we were going back home? Today we are going to escape, I have a surprise for you...
My story
Emily glanced at Benjamin curiously, but he didn’t say a word. Instead, he drove through winding roads and lush greenery.
"Where are we going?" she inquired again, but Benjamin simply smiled.
Aftera long journey, they arrived at a little village nestled in the hills. Emily was surprised to find herself in a village surrounded by tea plantations, greenery, beautiful trees, and busy local culture. After he parked his car beside a charming little guest house, Benjamin exclaimed "Welcome to Ella."
Emily's face lit up with excitement. "Oh! We came to that lovely place. I can't believe it!"
They entered to the guesthouse, where the owner, an elderly woman with a pleasant smile, greeted them with glasses of fresh coconut water. On inquiry of Benjamin, she handed a map of the area.
Later, Benjamin suggested Emily to climb Little Adam's Peak. Emily was always ready for any challenge and agreed without hesitation. Since they were both new to the area, they used the map provided by the guesthouse owner to navigate their way to the peak.
They climbed up through beautiful tea plantations and lush green hills. When Emily was captivated by the majestic scenery, her heart warmed with joy. They walked along the trail, chatting joyfully, and enjoying each other's company and the beauty of the surroundings.
Finally, they reached the summit of Little Adam's Peak. There, Benjamin explained to Emily about the place and its significance. Emily calmly glanced at every side, and suddenly, she showed a stunning view of the valley below, bathed in the golden hues of the setting sun. The sky was painted orange and pink, creating a magnificent glow over the area. Emily gasped at the gorgeous sight and smiled as she enjoyed her surroundings.
At the top of the mountain, Benjamin kneeled in front of Emily, holding her hand and placing a gorgeous diamond ring on her finger, and said, "These past four years with you have been the most incredible adventure of my life. Your love, spirit, and passion haunted in mind every day." Emily's eyes shone brighter than the diamond, and she glanced at Benjamine with surprise. "Will you marry me?" he asked hopefully.
Tears of joy filled Emily's eyes as she said, "Yes, Benjamin, yes!". She wrapped her arms around his neck. Then, they kissed, and the stunning scenery blessed their romantic atmosphere.
When they returned to the guesthouse hand in hand, Emily couldn't stop glancing at her ring. It was also perfect like their day. They celebrated their day with delicious dinner at a local café, before returning to the guest house.
Back at the guesthouse, they reflected on their fantastic day over a warm cup of tea. "This was the best surprise ever,"
Emily said, leaning on Benjamin's shoulder.
Benjamin smiled and kissed her forehead "Here's to many more adventures, darling. And to live life to the fullest, just as we promised." He hugged Emily tightly, as both of them felt the warmth of their love and the beauty of the moment.

Wow, so Benjamin took Emily to Sri Lanka to purpose her amid tea gardens? That was a nice idea but too cumbersome because after doing so much climbing they will be too tired to talk about anything creative... haha just joking. You have done full justice to this story.

That is why they didn't spend much time there; Benjamin's primary concern was to propose Emily in a romantic setting.😃😃

Estimado @senehasa, nos ha compartido una historia romántica que ha creado para darle final a la historia, una sorpresa preparada por Benjamín la cual le generó frutos ya que conquistó el corazón de su amada Emily.
