The respected organizer of the contest @fjjrg started the story here:-

Abraham is finishing a business trip, he is in Colombia. After various difficulties and a few days of delay, he successfully achieved his goal, now he has to return home to Caracas, Venezuela. On arriving at Bogota airport, he was surprised to find that the return date on his ticket was December 21, but it was December 23 and 6 pm.

They informed him that all flights were full and there were no seats until the morning of the 28th. On hearing this, Abraham asked the airline receptionist to please make every effort to include him in any flight, but he must be home before 6 pm on the 24th, as he is carrying gifts for his little daughters. The flight attendant told him that even if she wanted to help him, it was not possible, all the flights were full.

Abraham is not a person to accept no, and even in that situation, he tells her that the amount does not matter, he was willing to pay anything, but there was no result. He tried talking to other passengers and offered to change his ticket and in return he would pay them very well, but none of them wanted to miss their flight. Just then the phone rings, his wife was asking him where he was, behind him the girls can be heard greeting their father...

From here I take the story forward in my own style:-

The Bogata airport was a little more crowded than usual today, in his haste to reach home on Christmas Eve, Abraham had not paid attention to the date of his ticket properly, or maybe his flight ticket booking agent had made a mistake in listening to the date he had mentioned. After waiting in a long queue, when Ibrahim reached the check-in counter with his ticket, he took it out from the envelope and placed the ticket in front of him. The desk manager looked at Ibrahim with surprise on seeing the ticket and then said, "Sir, your ticket is from two days ago, today is 23rd December, your flight date was 21st December, your ticket has been cancelled."

On hearing this, Abraham's feet went numb. He handed the ticket back to the man and said, "You must have misunderstood. This is my ticket for today only. Please check it properly."

The manager said with a professional smile, "Sir, you check it yourself. The date on it is 21st December."

After reading the date on the ticket, Abraham was quite confused, but he again requested the desk manager “Please give me a ticket for today’s flight, I am ready to pay any amount in return of your favor, it is very important for me to reach home today. I will be forever grateful to you”

“Because my 10-year-old daughter suffering from cancer is waiting for me at home on Christmas Eve, if I don’t reach there on time, she will be heartbroken, and her medicines are also over, which need to be given to her on time. I came here only to get medicines for her and for some business work.”

After listening to all these things of Abraham patiently, the desk manager again replied politely, "But Sir, there is no vacancy in any flight today, I am not able to help you, I am very sorry"

Hearing this, tears came in Ibrahim's eyes, and he got out of the line and stood on the side and stood in that state for a long time. He was thinking in his mind that how he will reach home on time after travelling 1100 kms. It was impossible to travel by road.

A person standing behind in the line had heard the conversation between the desk manager and Abraham. He was also going to Caracas by today's flight. He stepped out of the line and put his hand on Abraham's shoulder and said, "Don't be disappointed friend. I have heard your problem.

“You will go by this flight today. Here is my ticket. Cancel it and book your own ticket. I will go later. It is not necessary for me to reach there today." Hearing that person's words, Abraham's eyes filled with tears of joy.

He blessed that person a hundred times and said, "I will never forget this favor of yours in my entire life. You are no less than an angel for me." That person said, "God has sent us in this world to help each other, friend. Today you need help. Tomorrow I may also need someone's help. Now don't be sad and go home with my best wishes."
