As humans we sometimes say things that in the end we will forget what we said earlier, I have been asking questions about why such things happen but my teacher told me that it's nature and he further said it's normal.

Have you ever been saying something and forgot what you were talking about, what happened?

It's a normal thing that can happen to anyone so I am not an exception to that. I have been having this experience for a long time now but the one that pains me the most was during my university days. Back then during my last semester in school and we were asked to make a presentation on our project topic. I prepared so well for my presentation, it took me a week to prepare my slides and also study the topic very well but on the day of the presentation, I had some issues.

I was making my presentation when suddenly I come to forget what I was talking about completely, I m sure is because of the fear I had because of the supervisor checking my work, I letter gather courage and move on, before the end of the presentation, I was able to make some meaningful points.

When you have been asked something that you know, but at the time of answering you have been confused, how do you answer?

I have been in a situation where I have been asked something that I know the answer but I was confused about what to say. I will internally know what to say but cannot say it out. Seriously, this is sometimes frustrating and annoying.

That commonly happens if similar questions are asked and I am not focused, I tend to get confused about what to say and which to say. What I do at that time is I calm down, take a deep breath and answer the question with the flash of an idea.

Since I am certain about the answer, I will say a lot of things because there must be an answer to what I will be saying. by talking about things relevant to the question asked, I will remember the answer

Do you always remember your ideas and everything you need to do or do you have to take notes?

I use to remember everything I need to do in most cases, but I still do not neglect the use of jotting down what I need to do.

Sometimes, preferencing my commitment helps me a lot because something very important may come up and may make me suspend what I intend to do at a time, so I use to take more of my activities even though I know I won't forget them.

But when it comes to ideas, Ideas do come as a flash of which if not quickly noted, you may forget some important points, so even if I will not forget, I make sure I jot down every piece of the idea that comes to my mind with ni delay then start planning on how to implement those ideas. So it is important to note ideas and even plan activities.

When you answer a question, must you repeat the question as part of your answer?

Yes! I do repeat the question to issue verification and identification. Knowing the question is the answer to that question, so I make sure I repeat and verbalize the question to understand it very well before I start answering the question.

I will Repeat the question in a refrained way that will give an introduction to the answer, but even though I repeat the question, I ensure that my answer or resolution is not bulky.

Has something curious or serious happened because you forgot what to say?

Yes. That scenario happened during my first time singing in a congregation of above 100 people. I was a music minister and I usually sing in less than a congregation of 50 people, one day, we went to a concert and I was the one to minister, it was a deserter that day.

When I walk up to the stage I saw a crowd of more than 2000 people I instantly start sweating, and when the instrumental finished the interlude expecting to start singing, I forgot the song because of the tension at that moment.

I had to calm down and the whole thing look not as arranged, my MD was so upset with me, someone had to start the song after a long interlude before I picked it. It was a bad experience. But on my subsequent performance, I improved and know I can minister in any number of congregations.

Conclusion

It is a normal thing that we get to forget something sometimes but later remember it, missing ideas sometimes does not imply someone is dull but a usual occurrence. I wish to invite @simonnwigwe @ishayachris @jasminmery to participate in this contest.

¡Saludos amiga!😊
