I thought that I would share some of my stories of my involvement with transporting/helping out rescue animals (mostly dogs). This is something that I have been doing for the past 7 years or so.
No pay or professionals - just a bunch of great volunteers working together to help the less fortunate animals.
💖Happy stories that I hope you all enjoy💖
Todays story is Diesel. A 3 year old Great Dane heading from Texas to California. This sweet boy has medical issues and his owners weren't able to adequately care for him. Fortunately a rescue in California that dealt with this type of condition was contacted and soon Diesel was ready for his new life.😃
His voyage started early Saturday morning in Plano, Texas. I travelled with him for a 'short' 100 or so miles before handing him off to the next driver.
He was truly a Gentle Giant
So the procedure was repeated - 18 separate legs covering almost 1,400 miles through 4 different states
So instead of ending up in a shelter or worse, this lucky giant is now with his new adoptive family and receiving the medical care he needs to live a long and normal life.
💖I hope you have enjoyed my little story about my trip with Diesel. I plan to do this again as rescue opportunities come along as well as some stories from the past about some of the wonderful animals that I have had the chance to help.💖
Here are some rescue organizations that I have worked with and support. Please help out these great people and seek out some of the many other rescue organizations - they always need our help.
