Hello it's another great opportunity for we to express our self on how we started our hobby that is favourite to us and how far it has taken us to. I trust we all are doing great in this community. I want to thank the organizers of this contest for been proactive in nature, especially @suboohi for giving out special time to see how members can share their experiences on the platform. I will be sharing photography as my favourite hobby below:

My Favorite Bobby is Photography

Early 2012, i was looking for an employment/work in a printing center as a computer literate but thank God for my friend who gave me in information about a photo studio that the director needs someone who can design Identity Card. When i heard that, i have to go for it and it favours me. I resume work on the 21st of August, 2012 then i onlyy specified in designing of ID card using Corel Draw.

Two weeks later, my Boss began to encourage me to learn photography since we doing all this in the shop. He felt that i was cheating him as i was in involved in photography. I started learning photography with Nikon D40x, D40, D60. The truth is we were having different cameras but my Boss does not allow us to touch his bigger camera like the Nikon D90 as of then. We equally had video cameras like the Panasonic while the Nikon D90 performs dual function. The picture above shows my humble beginning of my today success.

My Reason of going into Photography

Photograph is a clean business and it is stress free when compared with other tedious jobs. I was looking at it like a big boys job which allow you to be an event manager as well as a public figure. Photograph has carried me to different places that i wouldn't have been there, and this is what has given me excess joy. The work has made me a traveller and help me to learn and know a lot of traditions in Nigeria. This is as a result of going for coverage of traditional marriage rites of my customers.

Benefit derived from Photography

Photograph has made me to see the light in education. I was doing the business throughout my university days which help me in buying of my text books, paying of school fees, house rent, feeding and pocket money as well.

I never regrate of learning the skill then, because i knew it will be of great help to me. Now you can see this great success being achieved through photography business. I just finished service (NYSC) and since i have not gotten a good employment, i still do my hobby in other to keep live going till we the best of it kind.

Conclusion

My hobby has been favourable to me all this years and it has made me to standout amongst my colleague that we started the hobby together. Today i am being celebrated as a graduate in my family, Ikom/Etung professional Photographers, among my friends and the society at large.

Photo work is still feeding me and has help me to connect with great people.
