Siz Contest || How Technology has made Impact on My Life [20% to @siz-official]

When scientific knowledge is put to use with the aim of solving an existing problem, such application is known as technology, I personally love attempting to solve challenges using the scientific knowledge and methods. I have been so affected by technology that I practically consider my smart phone to be an extension of my brain.
To put this idea in figures, I think my efficiency level when with my phone is 120% while without the phone I run at 75% of my potential.
I wish technology like the internet, or internet of things, smart phones were available when I was growing up in West Africa, I would use it to acquire knowledge and solve problems as I do today.

The do it yourself videos on YouTube has made solve Verity of problem in and around the house, at work and on the road. I have not call a plumber, carpenter or electrician for the past five years because I can do it myself. Also influence by a series of how it's made videos. This has helped me solve countless problems from homework to woodwork, ICT related hacks and solutions. Reducing spendings on some simple fix around the house.

with apps like Google translate, I can hold conversation with people of diverse origin as I can understand them with the help of a number of apps. I have applied this technology on Steemit and it allow communication with people of different backgrounds. This has been very useful on the Steemit platform. It's easy to respond to comments in different languages and engaging with such persons in their own language.

With technology like zoom cloud meeting, Microsoft Teams, Skype, what'sApp video calls and the like, it was possible to still work from home and get paid through e-banking. When the world was in a stand-still, those of us with the right set of skills could still thrive without the risk of an infection.

With apps like Google map, What3Words, OS Locate and a GPS, my first journey to Ikeja Market at Lagos was digitally assisted. I could locate were I lodged, navigate to the market and back.

My life is so been built around technology that I literally spend 15 or more hours each day doing something technology related, the remaining 9 hours is shared between sleep and other things and it only gets worst when the dream in the sleep has some element of technology in it.

With Negative Effects Too

I an growing some level of dependency on technology, there are things like areas of my brain I don't exercises because some form of technology is taking care of it. Examples are remembering appointments, and Todo list.

I have come to love spending time around some of this technology and it it hurting my verbal communication skills and places a strain on my relationship with others.

I work as Tech Support, tasked with the responsibilities of maintaining ICT facilities and this keeps me around computers a lot. When I get tired or feel bored I use the same computer for entertainment, I see computers in different forms all over the place. Because it provides my needs, I have to update myself and follow the Technology wherever it leads me.
Being involved with Steemit is another environment that requires a number of technology being applied.

Has technology affected me, yes it has touched my life in many ways.
