Hey, I hope you all are doing great and all are healthy. Today my topic will be Internet of Things, I knew only a bit about it but I have studied it right now and it sure is an interesting topic. So let's get into it!

As more and more devices are being automated, the concept of Internet of Things is getting more and more clear to people. IoT refers to the communication of devices, physical or virtual, without human supervision. The devices share, receive and collect data from each other through an internet connection. These devices may be either connected through wired or wireless connections. IoT is a system of such devices which were once dumb and unable to transfer data and now they have been made intelligent by for example embedding different chips, or sensors in them so that they can transmit and receive data.
It also promotes the concept of Radio Frequency Identification (RIFD), which is a concept involving different types of embedded sensors and actuators, actuators are capable of producing motion or movement and are used for various purposes. Also, different AI domains such as Machine Learning and Neural Networks can help in this by making it more dynamic and powerful.

Yes, it is. As data is increasing every minute, it is becoming more and more valuable. By introducing the concept of IoT, different devices are connected together and are communicating without humans, which in turn reduces human labour.
As humans, we are bound to make mistakes or we can cause error, and an error in important and crucial data may lead to chaos, so by making the devices smart and interconnected, it improves precision and accuracy in collecting and sending such data. This data can include information about business, education, healthcare, companies and almost about anything.
We often don't realize that we ourselves have interacted with IoT in our lives, we just don't seem to notice it. Later, I would tell you about the different applications where IoT is being used and is evolving constantly.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
A system of different devices are connected through internet or the web, these devices are embedded with different sensors, processors and chips and are all transmitting the data they receive to an IoT platform, these platforms are powerful enough to detect which information is valuable and which is useless and can be ignored. The information can either be analyzed by the cloud or can be analyzed locally. Human interaction with these devices is minimal as these devices have the ability or intelligence to make smart and efficient decisions based on the data they receive by other devices. All of this together reduces human labour, time, and errors, and makes processes more effective and precise.

IS INTERNET OF THINGS IMPORTANT?
IoT is getting bigger and bigger, it has helped companies know real-time information about their products or the performance of their products. It has improved making useful and important decisions for the companies. For example, manufacturers may add different sensors to their products, industries may add them to different machines, by doing so they can know about the device performance, it would help them know which device will work efficiently for how long, which device is likely to be damaged, and thus it can also prevent many errors even before they occur. Apart from this, companies can use this to know about logistics, statistics, real-time information and different decisions by which they can grow and improve. Therefore, IoT will only continue to grow as more businesses and companies realize its importance, the competition will grow and more devices will soon start to get automated.

BENEFITS OF INTERNET OF THINGS
The benefits one can avail by Internet of Things are vast, here are some of the benefits IoT offers to its users:

• It makes our homes, offices, businesses, educational sectors, medical sectors, and vehicles smart, enabling them to make intelligent decisions on their own.
• It is and will be a great help in security systems, either they are in our houses, offices or any sector, one can know about the unusual activities which may help prevent danger even before it happens.
• Smart homes, which may have different smart devices consisting of cameras, lights, security, different appliances, and entertainment devices also.
• It can help businesses and different companies communicate remotely and share their data with ease.
• The use of different devices or wearables on patients can let health sectors know about the patient's conditions which is crucial to prevent high risk diseases or infections.
• Automated cars, these cars have sensors embedded inside them which transmits data to the cloud back and forth and makes smart decisions on the data received. However, it still needs perfection.
• It helps companies improve customer service and experience.

Again I would say, that these are only a few benefits of IoT, it is growing rapidly and will continue to grow with time.

The world is moving fast, it is evolving at a rapid pace and the importance of these technologies can not be ignored. The devices which once we thought never existed, now do. The devices which we thought could do nothing, now make important decisions for us. Like everything, IoT also has some problems, but it has changed our lives by automating devices, reducing our labour and time on those devices. The only thing we have to do now is set them up and they are capable of working with data and other devices on their own.
IoT has provided us with a lot of benefits and has done things to make our lives easy. Its importance can't be ignored and it will continue to grow as more people soon start realising it's worth, especially companies and businesses.
